What can I say, STUNNING!!!!! Was here with my girlfriend and wow, did it knock her socks off! The hotel is a really old building in the style of a romantic place – very impressive – best to look at the photos on their website – the rooms really do look like that Staff amazing and so friendly Grounds amazing – lovely big swimming pool – all in all very classy, all top quality, you know where your money is going and I would rate it as 4/5 star. Although we had a lilttle trouble finding Relais Villa Baldelli (it's not on the top of the hillside but down below), when we finally arrived it was like coming to paradise. Arriving at dusk, Corona and the surrounding countryside were awashed in splendid shades of pink and violet. We just returned from a one month trip to Italy and had the pleasure of staying at the Relais Villa Baldelli for five fabulous nights. As seasoned travelers, we have high expectations and this hotel did not disappoint. It is perfect in every way. The staff, especially Sara and Francesca, were so sweet and helpful. I stayed with my husband and a group of 5 other American couples at Villa Baldelli in March 2006. Our group was overwhelmed with the generosity and warmth of welcome by the owners and staff of this beautiful restored Italian villa. The rooms are generous in size, baths are charming and spotless, reception area charming, and mainly, the owners and staff are so helpful and welcoming that it seemed like staying with friends. This hotel was absolutely perfect. Stayed here 3 days and I don't have a bad thing to say about the hotel. Great location; completely quiet and peaceful and you can see the lights of Cortona at night. The staff were extremely nice and so helpful. They made excellent recommendations for sight seeing and restaurants. To get into the city of Cortona, you have about a 15 minute drive but it's worth it - it's a charming little town (no cars inside the city walls) and a great place to eat and shop. Villa Baldelli is a beautifully-decorated, well-located and comfortable small hotel with a perfect view of Cortona. The property is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, the swimming pool is large, and the setting is quiet and relaxing, especially the garden at mealtimes. Five star certainly describes the Villa Bardelli, but only because an additional star seems not available for rating purposes. My wife and I lacked nothing during our May, 2005 stay. My husband and I recently spent a week in the beautiful countryside of Cortona, yet just a stones throw from the center of the charming town. We were a group of five couples traveling to Italy August-September, 2004. We stayed at Relais Villa Baldelli for two weeks. From the moment we arrived, we were overwhelmed with the tranquilty, view of Cortona, outdoor breakfast areas, inside lounge and eating area. Villa Baldelli perfectly combines Tuscan warmth, charm, and atmoshphere with modern ammenities expected in a 5 star hotel. The staff aim to please, are extremely accomodating and clearly place a high value on attention to detail in all that they do. From the minute I arrived I felt like I was being welcomed home.
