Have recently returned from a weeks stay at the IFA Faro Hotel. It is a beautiful hotel situated right on the beach, with excellent facilities. It has recently been refurbished so everything is like brand new, including the accommodation which was kept very clean and tidy... more

The Perfect Hotel
Everything about this hotel is ideal. The location, the facility, the magnificant breakfasts, and the congenial staff. Most highly recommended
Superb Service
We spent a most enjoyable week at the IFA Faro Hotel, everything was beyond our expectations. The staff were very friendly and courtious at all times, the hotel was spotlessly clean and had a definate "touch of class" feeling about it. Robes were provided as were beach / lounger towels, and should you wish to spend you daytimes at the pool, even your loungers were reserved. The choice and quality of food was very good, and dining was in a relaxed atmosphere, although the hotel is essentialy a German outfit and therefore attracts more German guests than others, we had no problem whatsoever with that aspect, most guests seemed to be mature in years, and a friendly smile usually resulted in acknowledgement from there on. The location is unbeatable, walk out of the pool area and the beach is on your doorstep, along with the many places where you can get a snack, a meal, or just enjoy a cool drink whilst watching the world go by. Entertaiment at the hotel was limited to a resident duo singing all your old favourites, there were a number of bars close by with singers of various styles of music to listen to.The only gripe would be the lack of any sort of ironing board facility in the otherwise well appointed room, The final treat was on checking out at 11.00am, we were informed there would be a room for us to shower and change in before we left at 14.30. We Will Return!
good but for older travelers
we went to the ifa faro maspolomas hotel in march. The location is great, the hotel is very clean and fresh. The service and food all very good. the only thing not so great was the loud music every night and all night. It is best to upgrade to a sea view room and to get as far away from the evening entertainment as possible. Dinner time is a happening in its self as everyone is dressed up and looking rather over the top. Lots of older guests and certainly not for young sporty crowd.
The Faro is far out!
The decor was excellent as was the ambiance. We met people from Germany, France, Italy, Ireland and Wales not to mention the UK. The food was superb and we enjoyed the entertainment in the bar but spaces were limited. The staff were so friendly and helpful but we did have to wait a long time for the cutlery and wine to be delivered to the table often. We assume they were a little short - staffed. The room had the biggest mini - bar I have ever seen. If you get an east - facing room looking over the Maspolomas beach you may be troubled by music emanating from the Sorrento and El Senador restaurants in the early evening or even late evening. There are 12 parking places at the front of the hotel and about 12 places down below near the kitchen area so parking was sometimes a hassle. Overall, we had a brillaint week at the Faro.
Excellent Hotel
An excellent hotel in all respects. The hotel was refurbished last year to a very high standard. The rooms are very comfortable with a sitting area, plasma TV and large bathroom (although bathroom and size of sea facing rooms are smaller). The terrace had two sun loungers and a table and chairs. The service was second to none, nothing was too much trouble. Food was to a very good standard, we had the half board option and the dinner had plenty of variety each night. You could equally do B & B at this hotel as its location is excellent, right next to shops, restuarants and bars as well as right on the beach front. There is a taxi rank outside the hotel and it only costs about 4 Euros to Playa del Ingles. Swimming pool area is beautiful and your sunbed is reserved for your whole time there. There is also a hot tub which is part of the pool area. Entertainment at night is of a good standard. If you rent a car then parking is free at the hotel.
Hotel Faro Great
This is a great hotel, very good food, very clean, staff very helpful, had a very pleasant holiday will certainly go back, next year. The holiday company that we dealt with was First Choice and do not do this hotel for 2007. could anyone tell me of any other UK holiday company that as this great hotel in their brochure, I would be very grateful. Thank you J H Hargreaves
What can I say?
I would recommend this hotel to everyone. We had a fabulous week. There's no fighting over sunbeds - you are allocated one for the duration of your stay and there are three pool attendants to bring towels and sunshades. All the staff were very friendly (it helped by my speaking Spanish to them some of the time) and could not do enough to help us. The entertainment was very good every night, the rooms are quite large and very clean. Our room had a "partial sea view" but we had quite a good view of the sea from two sides. It was wonderful to wake up every morning with the sound of the waves crashing onto the rocks near the lighthouse. The only little niggle I would have is that the hot food was not quite hot enough, but there was lots of choice. It is a German chain of hotels so the majority of guests were German, but they were quite friendly even though we couldn't speak each other's language! The location is fabulous as you only have to walk out of the gate near the pool and you are on the beach! There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby and Playa del Ingles is a short, cheap taxi ride away. If you want a real treat for your next holiday try this hotel. Val Fawcett Staindrop Co Durham
Location location location
The hotel is in a superb location for couples and families, near to the beach and an upmarket shopping area with nice bars and restaurants. However, the star rating for the hotel is artificially high due to this considering what it offers. You will find a hotel with good rooms, but mainly set up for the German tourist. The facilities are limited and the staff are surly and reluctant to help. The pool area is nice but small and the food in the hotel is disappointing for a 4*. Consider other hotels in this area before you book here!!
Faultless....
Just returned from a fabulous week here. Delicious food, cheerful staff and spotless spacious rooms. Huge sandy beach on the doorstep for that allover tan! Cannot recommend too highly! Excellent value!
Heaven on Earth
Absolutely beautiful hotel situated right next to the beach. The pool is very clean and well kept. The rooms in the hotel are luxurious and spotless. The staff very friendly and helpful. I could not fault anything about the hotel and will definately go back one day soon. Recommend to everyone.
