Jurys Inn Exeter

We were planning a visit to Dartmoor National Park, and wanted to stay nearby at a comfortable hotel. Jury's Inn Exeter was having a summer special after renovating and fit the bill perfectly. The king bed was in great shape, the bathroom facilities were perfect, and an LCD TV was installed in the bedroom. Free parking was available in the evening until 8 a.m. just behind the hotel, with reasonable rates outside those hours. Booked a family room for me and my 2 frineds, you couldnt even swing a cat in it let alone have a family in there. Very small room. Sheets werent changed! And my two friends had bites from sleeping in the bed. Staff at reception were stuck up and rude. For the money we paid which wasnt cheap its was crap, wont reconmend

our room had a wardrobe without doors,and we didnt have any drawers at all.We couldnt find any leaflet or info on the Air Con,TV Stations,or Meal Times. Our Shower didnt have a fan,and there was only one Towel Rail,which was placed far too low down. Apart from this we had a pleasant stay,with very helpful Staff. There is also a charge for the Wi Fi,both in the rooms and in the bar area.

Although we live near Exeter we stayed at the Jury Inn on a deal (£20 per night). The room was bright and clean although not as big as the photo's portrayed. The staff were excellent and you could almost forget you were in the UK the service was so good. Nothing was too much for them and they responded very promptly to any request. We ate in the restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, service and the prices. My only nit pick was that the beds were very 'firm' We would defiantly stay there again... more

We stayed at the Jurys Inn on our first visit to Exeter. It is very conveniently located for the bus station and for the central shopping and cathedral districts. Our room was well-appointed and a decent size, although we would have preferred a bar fridge in the room. We really liked the ice-machine in the corridor. As mentioned in other reviews, there were a few delays during check in/out due to a lack of familiarity with equipment. Good value for the price paid and we would definitely return if we ever visit Exeter again.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in Jul 2009. Only paid a £20 per night promotional rate, not sure what it would cost normally. Found the hotel to be very well located, close to town and a large public car park (£5.50 per day) The room was nice and clean, maybe slightly small but being picky now. Very well furnished with a comfortable bed. Requested a top floor room to avoid road noise and slept soundly! We had booked two rooms - 'spacious double' and a kingsize. The double was not spacious and the cot booked for my granddaughter didnt fit in. So we swopped rooms as the staff were unable to help. I had an unexpected visit to my room from another member of staff who thought I was air crew! On the positive, the hotel is very close to the city centre and there are various restaurants, a supermarket and other shops about 2 mins away. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Rooms (we had to change while there), were very nice. Beds comfortable, freeview DTV, table and chair, most definitely did NOT like the open-plan wardrobe and no drawer space. Do not get the idea of this - to us it was very invasive of privacy. Hot weather, so appreciated the air conditioning - although strange to work out - on asking at reception no-one had a clue either. The hotel is brand new, very nicely kept, it was spotless. The rooms are very nice and everything works and the bed in particular were really comfortable. We had £20 per room price as a special opening offer, what else can you ask for, for that money. Even at the normal £60 ish advance purchase cost I would much rather stay here over a shabby old Travelodge! This is a brand new hotel, opened last week 5 June and it seems to be still having some teething issues. The hotel is situauted near the centre of Exeter and there are convenient car parks nearby. First of all though I must say that the staff are very pleasant, cheerful and as helpful as they can be. I checked in on Monday, the process was very slow, as it appeared that the two staff were struggling to use the systems, eventually, however, I did manage to check in.
