Charming small hotel. Almost great from MrSoft
Interesting little hotel in the North West part of Muscat. Well, according to its own website, it's a "boutique hotel". That's really stretching the truth as it does not possess any sense of luxury or style, although I will concede that like most boutique hotels, it is certainly small. The hotel has no alcohol licence, but has a pleasant cafe and restaurant which served surprisingly good food. A helpful night porter made me a cappuccino, which turned out to be a black coffee. only 10 minutes form the airport this is the best option available for stop-overs and late arrivals, the small hotel is new, has spacious rooms, a friendly atmosphere and is nicely decorated with an oriental touch, neigbourhood has nothing to offer, bar and restaurant close at 10 pm

Nice hotel but could improve the service from Kali737
Our Treasurebox visit was off to a good start before we’d even set off for Muscat. I called to book their free upgrade package (as detailed on their website) and was told all rooms were booked but no problem, they’d upgrade us to a penthouse suite for no extra charge. The hotel was easy to find, it’s a distinctive building and after pulling off the highway, we spotted it ahead and were there in no time. Lovely, clean hotel and good service from I-Sara-I
I travelled to Muscat with my mother. Our flight arrived in the morning so we still had a couple hours to wait. The hotel was fully booked so we fell asleep in the foyer as we waited for a room to become available. We lost track of time but I believe we got a room by around 12:30 midday which was better than having to wait til 2pm The room was really nice and a good size with room for a couple of armchairs to watch tv away from the beds. Hotel is good and good priced, but there is a serious trouble.It is far from everything(except the mosque).No restaurant, travel agency, nothing. Now the worst. Because of location, there are a small group of taxi driver that stay all the time inside hotel lobby.They charge very expensive and simulate travel for a travel agency.They are apparently supported for hotel reception staff or part of them, because I asked for a tour and someone in reception staff indicated them. All prices are made by Taxi companies and the local Government and it is made clear which Car is a taxi Car. Further we would like to inform you that the Hotel Treasurebox does have a Restaurant (Tinello) which is daily open for Breakfast and Dinner. For the future we would wish if you Rate Hotels after there Service and Standards they provide to you and not after a personal outside (Non Hotel) experience.

A well-deserved name from lutzy
I stayed at the Treasurebox for 2 nights as a solo traveller. The hotel quickly responded to my emails and organised airport pickup (a 10-minute drive) for OMR8. The same taxi driver was available for other trips I needed/wanted to make. Although I arrived early my room was ready and I was very happy with its size, amenities and cleanliness. On my second day, though, I would have liked to return to a made-up room, but had to ring reception at 2 pm for cleaning staff to become active. This was my 3rd time in Muscat and it was definitely the best. I stayed 4 nights in the "Treasurebox" what is realy a treasure. Easy to reach from the Airport within 7 minutes, walking distance to the amazing Grand Mosque and next to the main Highway. The Staff is very friendly and well trained, a mixture of European and locals. I booked a Superior double room but when I arrived they upgraded me for free to a Suite! A True Gulf State Treasure from Adventure Diva
This new 4-month old boutique hotel provides five star service at three star rates. My room #104 was extremely clean and neat with good amenities (flat screen TV, great bedding and strong water pressure for the shower, strong A/C and the window seating was a nice extra touch). I arrived after midnight and was very happy with the staff's commitment in making your stay pleasant. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Wonderful Boutique Style Hotel from DSW1555
This is a new boutique style hotel in Muscat run by an Austrian family with local people. It is a 15 minutes drive from the airport, a couple of blocks from the Grand Mosque and very accessible to all the key places to visit in Muscat. The hotel is modern with a magnificent marble reception hall and lounge.
