Dont believe the hype!!
from seanieboy24
Just returned from the delta beach hotel in yalikavak, mugla. the hotel first of all is NOT! 5* more a 3*. The room we were given was ok although there were damp stains on the wall and a slight smell of sewege. the rooms were never really cleaned properly everyday and the phone did not work and the tv was not tuned in. The food in the restraunt was below average with only 2 hot choices of food which never really looked edable. the cold section was fine, plenty of pasta, cold meats and cheese. the desert was fantastic...

terrible

first time in turkey so took advice and went for five star. heard all the stories about turkey`s five star so went to delta beach with this in mind. unfortunately this place would be lucky to reach two star anywhere else. arrived with about twenty other folk . by early next morning just about all twenty were back at reception demanding a move to a better room or a move to a better complex. all complaints were mainly about state of rooms, ie, bogging!!!! we immediately contacted our holiday consultant and asked for...

Nice time at the Delta Beach Club
from Chunky81
I have just got back from a week in the sun at the Delta Beach Hotel and had a brilliant time, although i wouldn't say that it rates as a five star hotel overall. That said though, the room we stayed in was absoloutely fine, we had clean towels and linen everyday and there is food served all day everyday somewhere! I would recommend at meals times that you don't leave it until 15 minutes before it's due to finish because then you will be dissapointed as there probably won't be much left. There is quite a large selection of desserts...

Make it what you want to
from edinburgh2007
First off this isn't a 5* hotel and if you expect it to be paying the price that the British seem to be getting this for then you're deluded! The hotel was fine, was put into a tiny room to start, complained and were moved within 36 hours. Tip do it politely and calm and you're get a better response than shooting your mouth off. No this hotel doesn't cater for British tastes but thats not why I go on holiday so had no problem. You can eat at the al a carte resturaunt twice per week and while that is a set menu, its nice and a bit...

Perfectly acceptable place to stay.
from davidedinburgh26
Just returned from an enjoyable two week stay at the Delta Beach hotel. Granted we were also subjected to the poor first room experience but after minimal hassle were soon moved to a spacious clean room with a balcony and sea view. The hotel itself has only just started catering for the British so there is some room for improvement but the food on offer is to a decent standard and I didnt have one night were i struggled to fill and clear my plate. The abscence of a beach didnt bother either the people i met or myself and...

I along with my family have just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel well if you can call it a hotel as ive seen cleaner pig farms when we arrived we were escorted to our rooms which were underground with no windows or any form of natural lighting and looked as if the hadnt been cleaned since the 1980s the bathroom was disgusting and the sink had the remains of the last occupants spat out dried on toothpaste, after 3 hours of complaing to the very rude and unhelpful staff we were finaly moved to rooms above ground which were'nt...

give this a miss
from magpiemick
arrived at this hotel with mixed readings of reports, on arrival we were put in a room with no windows and very small with a double bed in it. i immedeately asked for the room to be changed and they did to a room with a small window to a brick wall view outside it. the safe was not bolted down and the bed was against the fridge so you could not use it if you wanted to. i was moved again the next morning to a better room with nice sea views. this room issues seemed to happen to all uk guests. the resturaunt is...

So disappointing....
from joolsScotland
We booked a last minute weeks break online fron the 04 August and were really looking forward to our 5* Turkish experience. We had previously travelled to Turkey 9 years earlier and stayed in Icemeler in a 2* Apartment. We had an absolute ball so, when we booked a 5* AI option we were really excited. On arrival we found the reception staff extremely unhelpful, we were then placed in one of the "cells" which looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. When I say unhelpful I mean I don't think it's acceptable that staff smoke behind a...

We had a great time but some improvements to be made.
from JonathanWales
Just returned from a fab 2 weeks at the Delta beach in Yalikavac. This hotel has only been catering for the british for approx 3 mnths hence some problems, for some strange reason they insist on putting british people in rooms resembling cells when they arrive inevitably all complain and are promptly moved to better rooms. the amenities at the hotel are fab and there is a real potential for this resort to be top class, it is not 5 star as we know it although with a few improvements could easily make the grade. the place is very...

Not 5* but will be returning next year!
from Bigblueeyes86
We returned last night from a week's stay in the Delta Beach, and it is true that 25 people were taken to hospital with suspected gastroenteritis. No-one is sure of what caused it, but my mum also fell ill on the last day but due to our flight she was unable to seek medical help. HOWEVER, we found the hotel to be exactly as we wanted. Our room was a fair way back from the buzz of the bar and Amphitheatre so noise was not an issue. My mum and stepdad were placed in a small prison-like room to begin with, but as returning guests they...
