Really enjoyable
from Bangor_NorthWalesIsh
Thought i would be well worth a review on this hotel. My wife and i stayed for just one night on the 19th October 2007. Directions to the Hotel were clear although it did help we knew the area. We arrived late on friday night and were a bit tired, so to freshen up we decided to use the pool facilities, these were lovely and clean, it did help that it was quiet, we had the pool all to ourselves. After our swim we returned to the room to change before heading down to the bar for drinks and a meal. This i have to say...

Really great hotel
from WestYorkshireAnon
Stayed for two nights. Clean, tidy, large rooms, food is great (although service was a little slow, but i wasnt in a hurry), gym & pool really nice... only thing that wasnt 10/10 was the lift... very slow... but hey just use the stairs.... would definatley recommend this hotel...
A really good place to stay
from davidpMiltonKeynes
Friendly, welcoming staff, spotless bedroom. Easy to find between M4 and the City Centre - despite its isolated appearance in a re-development project, this is an easy flat walk to the City Centre. Half the rooms have a sea view, currently the hotel is surrounded by a comprehensive re-generation project but not affected by noise. Air conditioning in rooms is effective and fifth floor rooms have opening windows. Bar prices are exceptionally high and the food offer is limited and based on convenience style dishes. Breakfast offer is good with...

Fantastic Break at the Village
from JDsale
Travelled on a £149 offer for two nights including breakfast both days and dinner on the first night. Our two kids (8 & 4) shared the existing bedding in the room (double and double sofabed) and stayed and ate free. The hotel is located just outside of the city centre in a developing marina area; our room had air conditioning and it worked fine and kept the room at a lovely cool temperature. The health and leisure club is great though swimming time with children is limited to 9am-12 noon and 2-5pm. The restaurant was very good,...

Modern and quirky
from owensg
We recently stayed at this Hotel, which only opened in March,we found all the staff very friendly and helpful, the rooms were well above average,(ours was looking over the water-way to the Gower) the rooms were well kitted out with L.C.D. Tv, hair-drier, mp3 player, and tea and coffee in the room,s, the double bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever stayed in we requested a quiete room, which we had. There was a Wedding Reception on the Saturday evening and the hotel was full 120 rooms I think, but we slept well with no noise or...

Modern but no character
from middlec
A very modern hotel, only opened in March 2007. It's decor could only be described as minimalist. The room was comfortable enough, but no air conditioning. It was hot, to say the least. The bar lacked any character, and you were expected to eat a bar meal at a very low table with room for only two plates at best. The restaurant food was good, but a very limited choice, and, why oh why, do they have the music on so loud in the bar and restaurant? It is not a disco, but you would think it was. It was virtually impossible to have a normal...

Nice hotel, but no a/conditioning and building site around it
from Joysey
The hotel, which has not been open very long, is pristine, new, stylish and smart inside. Outside however, it is a bit of a "work in progress" - construction work going on all around and cranes and rubble everywhere. Our room on the 5th floor was spacious, nicely furnished and contemporary. We had a large double bed and a sofa bed. There was a plasma television, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom is large, bright and modern with bath and shower - towels however looked a bit past...

Nice gym, but no AC and bad food.
from UK-TouristUK
I've stayed here twice for business. The hotel is clean and smart as you would expect for a hotel that has only been open for one month. The gym is excellent but can get busy. The breakfast is reasonable and better than the Dragon and the Marriott. BUT, the hotel has no AC and the rooms get very very hot. They say they will add AC soon, but why didn't they do it when they built the place. The meals in the evening are very poor and I walk into town even when it is raining as I refuse to eat their cold unappetising meals.
Such A Shame
from billyboy07
Hotel looks great. Reception areas are nice. Rooms look good. Leisure Club excellent. But if you want a peaceful night's sleep - forget it. This is based on a Saturday night stay. There is a soundproofing problem - pity, as it's a brand new hotel. The banging doors are some of the loudest I've ever heard. It sounded like a herd of wilderbeast were stamping around upstairs until the early hours. For the rooms at the front of the building, there's lots of noise outside. eg - from revellers going in and out of reception -...

Nice Hotel!
from hissing_sid
This hotel opened on March 1st, and we checked in for 2 nights on March 2nd. Although it was obvious that the staff were still getting to grips with the systems and equipment themselves, it did not detract from the level of service we received. The standard of the fixtures and fittings is first class, even allowing for the fact that it is all brand new. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and have all the usual refinements, plus a large flat panel television with a good selection of channels. The only negatives were that the room was...
