Monterey Hotel

Had the pleasure of stayin here for a long weekend break and throughly enjoyed. The reception staff where most helpful in dealing with any inquries we had about the area and the restraurant menu went down a treat. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is interested in a nice and relaxing environment. Well Done!

What a wonderful holiday. Jersey is such a beautiful island with lots to do. The hotel was exceptional especially the staff, who were very helpful at all times. They were friendly and always made a big fuss of our two children. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was very tasty, compliments to the chef!!!!! The room was big and airy ideal for a family. The hotel was always spotlessly clean and smelt fresh. The Management should be very proud of their staff and their hotel. This is our third visit to Jersey and the Monterey Hotel.... more

this was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in, the superior room we paid for was dated and the bedcovers have holes in, the rest of the hotel is also dated. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the seafront with no restaurants or bars nearby. The breakfast is inedible made from the cheapest ingredients hence the poor quality, we went for breakfast once during our stay and subsequently paid to eat in the pomme d or which did a beautiful breakfast . Excellent hotel in a good location. First time to Jersey and definately going back. Hotel is walking distance to town and beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked this hotel through latebreaks and received excellent service.

Montery Hotel Jersey, This hotel is excellent, we had a lower floor room which had patio doors that opened out on to the swimming pool, although the pool was to cold to go in, it was a lovely suntrap. We had no noise at all but some of the other guests did mention to us that they could hear the traffic in their rooms but we could not hear anything at all. The meals were superb, both breakfast and dinner, and the staff are excellent, absolutely nothing was to much trouble for them. This was our first visit to Jersey and we enjoyed it... more

stayed with family (3 girls, talk about out numbered) children loved the pools even went in outdoor pool despite tempreture, gym ok but limited, food just fine, staff get a BIG thumbs up all took time for kids, limited seating in bar (excellent bar food) i didnt hear next door but my wife did (who has a shower a 1am? the people in the room next to us) tv is small for room but your here to see jersey not watch telly, st hellier town centre short walk 5 mins max, we hired a car at reception (avis) very good and clean saw everything a tourist... more

Had a long weekend here last year & were fairly pleased. Room was nothing fancy but clean. One minor problem with the shower which was reported after breakfast was fixed by the time we returned in the afternoon. Staff very helpful & courteous. Noise is a bit of an issue. They have evening entertainment which doesn't end too late, but might prevent you from having an early night. Traffic noise might also be a problem, but likewise diminishes considerably at night. stayed for two nights,nice breackfast room,full english,good staff,helpfull,rooms,we had ordered a double but we recieved a rooom with two singles and a double bed in,beds where comfy,room was warm,high cielings 12 feet high,slightly worn,but good,and clean,tv a bit on the small side,pool nice size for this type of hotel,also steam room,towels surplied pressed and clean,never ate dinner as plenty in st hellier,but dinner was vairied and good from other guests coments,town is no more than a five min walk,parking was at hotel,nothing was a... more

Hotel very clean, staff excellent but the walls and floors are made out of tissue paper - we could hear every word said in the room next door and what the people were doing upstairs. We moved at one o'clock in the morning because we could not sleep and were then put in a room overlooking a nursery that started at 7.30 in morning. Noise incredible!
