Maple Court Hotel

Finding the hotel can be a bit of a challenge: Ness Walk consists of three parts, the middle of which is for pedestrians only. The property is kept in its original style and does appear somewhat dated in several places but it does have character and the staff is very friendly and service is good. This place is in need of some repair and updating. There is a mold problem in the main hall leading to the rooms - you can see mold growing under the wallpaper. The rooms themselves were just OK. I pulled out a stool from under the desk and it had a broken leg. The furniture is old, not antique, just old and worn. There is a bar area with a pool table, but it seems to be full of employees on their break - it feels like you are intruding. It is near the river ness which is nice to walk along.

Second time I have visited, Just as good as the first. I have to egree with all the previous comments, it doesn't get much better for me!!

We were staying at a near by Bed & breakfast but had dinner two nights at Maple Court. The food was wonderful with very generous portions. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared. The salmon crepes were terrific. Wish we had stayed longer to enjoy additional dinners.

We stayed at the Maple Court In mid January during what was the only cold spell of the month and indeed this winter. Strange?? It is a beautiful old building dating from the early 1800's and looks grand set in its beautiful spacious gardens on the banks of the River Ness. Lots of private off road car parking also which is a bonus. It was surprisingly busy for the time of year and we ate on each of our three nights stay. The Maple Court Hotel is situated in beautiful surroundings down by the river Ness. My wedding ceremony and reception was held here and it was perfect. The rooms are comfortable and the grounds well kept. I would recommend this to anyone.

Absolutely brilliant stay, staff very courteous and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were tastefully decorated and homely. Will certainly stay there again.

A wonderful old property with down to earth staff and excellent food. We ate on each night of our stay and the food just got better, what a chef!!!! There are wonderful gardens and the chance to sit outside and watch the river. Our rooms were comfy and warm. An excellent log fire roars in the lounge bar and the manager extended good old 'Highland Hospitality'. Altogether a nice experience in the Highland capital. We'll definately be back.
