Hotel Nettuno

We arrived on Aug 2nd for one weeks stay. The room we had was a bit small for a family of 3 but it was clean and comfortable. The hotel was in a quiet location on the lakefront, there was a campsite just across the road but we did not notice any noise throughout our stay. The staff in the hotel were friendly and polite, the buffet breakfast and evening meals were of an excellent standard, the headwaiter - (Loris) had a great knowlege of wines and was a bit of a joker with his guests but still very proffessional. This relatively small hotel provides a very good holiday experience. Food is excellent, with expert guidance from the head waiter, with wine reasonably priced. Bed and public rooms are par for a 4* hotel in italy and immaculately clean. Bardolino is a picturesque village with many restaurants shops etc and is ideally placed for excursions for those without a car. However, driving locally is safe and opens up more possibilities. We have just returned on 1st July from a 10 day holiday at the Nettuno Hotel. The hotel is located right on the lake at the end of the lakeside prominade. The walk around the lake to Bardolino is beautiful or you can take the back road and be there in 5 minutes. The hotel was excellent, great food both at dinner and breakfast (which is served outside on the terrace). I've seen most places on Lake Garda, and in my opinion, Bardalino has it all. To go one step further, the Hotel Nettuno in Bardalino also has it all. Brilliantly located on the lake front, but in a quiet location, it is only a short 10 minute walk to the centre of this quaint resort, which has no shortage of bars/restaurants, shops, and live concerts. Arrived Friday pm 26 May 2006 for a weeks stay booked direct with the Hotel Nettuno for our first visit to the Hotel and 33years since our last visit to Lake Garda, very impressed by everything about the Hotel especially the Lake view from our balcony and our table in the dining room. We had the pleasure of several memorable sunsets during our week, the changing colours on the water and the distant hills were breathtaking and the sunset on Sunday brought tears of joy to my eyes because of its sheer magnificence. We have just got back earlier today from the Hotel Nettuno in Bardolino and had to write a review to say how wonderful it is. It is on the lake and everything about the hotel is fantastic. It is very clean, the terrace and pool are in a lovely position and the food is to die for. Bardolino is a very pretty resort and in an excellent location for exploring other areas of the lake. Just returned from our first trip to lake garda. We went on a late booking and it was allocated on arrival. We stayed at the Nettuno Hotel in Bardolino,the head waiter Loris is hilarious and a very good P.R.man he would get you talking to the people on the next table and soon everyone was making conversation. All staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful our own allocated waitress Cinzia (hope I have spelt her name correctly) was very bubbly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Just returned from Bardolino, Lake Garda. The hotel Nettuno was friendly, well positioned right on the lake and the service second to none, particularly the head waiter who was hilarious as dinner. This was one of the most relaxing, romantic, cultural and beautiful holidays I have ever had. Bardolino itself is ideally situated to visit most of the Venetto region. We have just come back from a holiday in Bardolino. It was a lovely holiday. The hotel provided a wonderful base from which to travel around the lake. All the staff were attentive to our needs especially the head waiter, our own designated waiter and the receptionist. The food was superb - 4 course meals every evening. We have had four visits to the Nettuno and there is no doubt as to the highest quality of this hotel in accommodation, location and food. It is a pleasant stroll along the Lakeside from the centre of the town and is a restful and relaxing establishment. The Head Waiter is very skilled and the staff are extremely courteous and professional through all grades and responsibilities.
