Beautiffully Oover The Top Hotel
Bridgnorth Shropshire. Hundred House Hotel, April 2006 Only just middle aged couple Thank God places like this still exist! This small hotel is absolutely wonderfull. It is so old and quaint with bags of character. The bar and restaurent are packed with lots of interesting little bits and pieces, the food is first class , they use fresh local produce and grow all there own herbs in the garden. The bedrooms are amazing - so WONDERFULLY OVER THE TOP with lashings of soft drapes, velvet, bows and tiebacks, ribbons and a... more
Hundred house is Fantasic
I stayed here for a special occasion, it was a suprise present for my boyfriend and myself, the meal was amazing, the best Rose wine Ive ever had, i would love to stay again. The room had a four poster and a swing, it was chintzy, quirky and I loved it!!!
Like no where else!
Those reviews that say how awful the Hundred House is just don't get it. The quirky country house glamour is just amazing. The food (as everyone agrees) is perfect, very interesting and of exceptional quality - well worth the price. If you want bar food (and dont mind paper napkins!) then ask for the bar but the resturant food really is exceptional (n.b - no paper napkins here!) The hotel is old with amazing flagstone floors and gothic wooden paneling. The huge open fires blaze away and send a glow throughout the romantically lit... more

didnt stay at hotel, thank god. Went on a shropshire star food promotion. Food outstanding. only pro. Service terrible, service of a pub meal but with top end prices. decor cheap and nasty, paper napkins, ikea coffee pots out of date flower decorations, blackboard in toliet had harold your a wan..k..r written on it. Ladies toilet unhygenic woodern toilets suitated on a bench, molten brown handwash with paper towells, doesnt really work. Dirty and shabby. Everyday Dining anything between 30-40 pound per... more
The Best Birthday Night Ever!!!!!!!
I'd commented to my partner about this place and said we'd have to go for a drink. Instead he booked us in as a surprise for my birthday night. The place lived up to it's expectations in my eyes and my partners. The old world feel you really do need to like as this is the real deal! Our room was immaculate and had a poster bed and a velvet covered swing - which of course we enjoyed lol The room had very individual style and so much detail it was amazing. We went down and had drinks and where informed our table... more
Swings!!!!
Well....can honestly say, never stayed in a hotel with a swing in the room. That has to be a first! Wonderful country inn..ye olde type. Warren of passageways, nooks and crannies to get lost in. Herb garden a treat to walk around. Room was something special..not hi-tec..very cottagey. Huge soft four-poster bed, (room was called Parsley & Tyme) lavender scented sheets, patchwork, chintz and gold bows EVERYWHERE!!! In the bathroom gold walls and a hand painted sink, big glass decanters of divine smelling bubbles.<br... more
A bit too twee and not enough TLC...
We arrived with high expectations having read the reviews of this hotel, we booked the biggest and most expensive room as we are a family, in place of the Holiday Inn which has a pool. Finding the hotel was fine, and the room was nice, if rather overdressed for my liking...pink flock cushions not really my scene. The swing was fun, though. What really disappointed us was that although the website proclaimed friendliness and a warm welcome - we did not feel we got that at all. None of the "family" introduced themselves to us, we were not... more
An amazing place in a beautiful part of England
Beautiful, peaceful, food wonderful, rooms quaint, tasteful a wonderful experience, highly recommend get a room with a swing!!!!!!!!
Quirky but nice place!
A lovely, obviously v popular place - busy on a Sunday, good sign. Rooms are v comfortable, with everything you could hope for - including Handwash detergent!. Food v good in bar area, & breakfast in morning also well done. Quite noisy if you have a front facing room with traffic on a Monday morning - might not be as bad on a w/e day.
Most incredible meal
We stopped at Hundred House for dinner and had the most incredible meal ever. If the hotel standard is as high as the food standard, this is a phenomenal hotel. Absolutely beautiful gardens.
