Hotel Internazionale

The Internationale is just outside the town of Malcesine. Its no problem to walk into town a couple of times per day. It is probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. Its attractively decorated, has very artistic paintings hung everywhere together with the odd sculpture. The rooms are pleasant and very acceptable. Most/all rooms have small balconies, which are OK, most of which either have some view of the lake or the local mountain or both. I preferred the view of the mountain. Lovely hotel in a lovely location just 10 minutes from the center and 5 minutes from the cable car to the top of Monte Baldo (1500mts). The hotel food was very good and home made. The room I had was a single spacious and very clean. The staff spoke good English and were very friendly. The town was lovely and the scenery fantastic. The mountain walking was very good with marked paths however can be tricky in places. Not for the casual walker.

Great Family Hotel. Good food, excellent service. Friendly staff. Simple health centre. Jacuzi's inside and out. Ask for top floor facing lake, you will look over olive grove to Lake Garda & 1/2 a mile across to stunning views of the Alps. To left Malcesine Castle.

One of the main reasons we chose the Internazionale was in the Inghams brochure it kept going on about how good the food was. We didn't mind having to have supper between 7pm and 7:30pm and we had our own table, although it was odd that some people had to share when there were plenty of spare tables around. However, every night they brought out practically the same food and although it was usually very good, it got pretty dull. A very good hotel about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Malcesine and 5 minutes from the lake. Rooms were very clean and staff friendly and unobtrusive. Food was plentiful and of an excellent standard. No evening entertainment but there was plenty available in the town if this is what you were looking for.

Lovely location & very clean. However managers attitude left much to be desired. Although we paid a supplement for a lake view we were told a sideways glimpse of the lake over next-doors balcony was adequate. We were told by the manager that "there was another room with a full lakeside view available but she was saving it for the Germans & if we didn't like it we could move to another hotel". We would not recommend this hotel or the tour company Inghams who also considered the room to meet their criteria of a lake view.

Hotel & staff helpful & kind, great choice of food including a vegi option if needed, bar in hotel closes at 23.00 but in the lovely town of Malcesine they stay open till 02.00 or later. The hotel is a 10 min walk to town with some inclines to keep you fit. The amount of handbag and shoe shops will keep the wife happy for 2wks whilst the bars and eating places will keep you both happy. We are definetly going to go back to the Internazionale and I would not hesitate in recomending it to anyone. Hope this has been of use to you.

Hotel is in quiet location as it is surrounded by olive groves & set away from the road. Food is plentiful. Room to sunbathe. Rooms are very clean. Planning a reurn visit.

Hotel Internazionale was not very friendly. You had to eat at 7pm and at the same table and share with others. This was not flexible. Vegetarians were not catered for. One evening the veg meal was ham and melon. The room was Ok and it was clean and tidy. Not too far from town for it to be a problem. The staff did not appear very friendly.
