Argonauta Hotel

I really recommend this hotel. We stayed in one of the appartments that was really nice, clean, very well decorated perfect for relaxed holidays!! You need to walk through the little streets of Parikia with is enjoying. The owners are really friendly. This is for sure a place to go!

We booked this hotel on the advice of trip advisor, and it was even better. So central to everything. The room was clean and fresh. Lovely balcony with a view. Fridge and airconditioning were a bonus.My wife liked the washing line on the balcony.There was a courtyard where you could sit and eat or sip your wine. But the best was the friendly family who ran the hotel and helped us out with ideas of where to eat and visit.They even let us use the internet for free even though there was supposed to be a charge. We had a great time in Parakia.

What a wonderful place. This family run Hotel was a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived to until we left. We spent 5 days and felt very much a home. The housekeeper was very efficient. The common patio area was a bonus to sit and have nibbles, wine, beer etc. The fridge in the room was also very handy. The Hotel and rooms were recently renovated in keeping with the Greek style. A 4 minute walk from the port no need for a taxi. We were very suprised on leaving that the family all came to say goodbye, a very personal touch.

I stayed at the Argonauta for a week. The interior of the hotel is very beautiful and is in keeping with the rest of the Islands style; lots of crisp white and sea blues and cobbled floors. There is a very relaxed atmosphere and the family that run it go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, yet it is very professionally managed. The rooms are clean and feel spacious and there is a courtyard around the rooms with seating area with lots of sweet smelling potted plants where you can drink your own wine or read a book.<br... more

What a great find this place was. Very reasonable and right at the ferry. 2 minutes walk and you are there. We were greeted by friendly staff who carried our bags up the one flight of stairs to our lovely room overlooking the square. It was very quiet, the beds comfortable, very very clean and a lovely hotel with beautiful décor in the foyer and on the first floor. We had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Argonauta in October 2006. While there, Greece experienced a terrible storm. On the day that we were to leave we vacated our rooms and spent the afternoon playing bridge in their lobby as the ferry wasn't scheduled to leave until 7:00pm and the weather was horrible. The hotel manager graciously served us coffee without charge. Hotel Argonauta felt like home, the family that owns the hotel was really nice and they made our stay very comfortable. We loved staying in this hotel and we loved Paros. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the ferry and even though its downtown the room was very quiet. The location is great everything is in walking distance restaurants, bakeries, shops, café’s, banks, it was absolutely fabulous. A super place to stay on one of the two main squares in Parikia, the main port of Paros. The rooms are fine for a few days, but could get a little claustrophobic. Only 3 minutes walk from the main ferry port, and central for both shops and restaurants.

The hotel is magnificent the service incredible. We paid £35 per night for a double room with view which we thought excellent value.It is very convenient, as it is in the center of the capital town of the island, where the market street begins and next to the seafront where all the restaurants are located. there is no trafic at all, since there is limited car access to the squire where the hotel is located.And to go for swimming, is just 2 minutes walk to the traditional small boats that takes you to a paradise beach in 5 minutes<br... more

This hotel, we we found in the Lonely Planet, has a superb location within walking distance of the ferry terminal and the town. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is available at the adjoining restaurant for less than 5€ per person. An excellent greek pastry shop is across the street. The rooms are unexceptional, but clean and functional. One slightly unpleasant note: like some other island hotels, you must throw your used toliet paper in the trash (which has a lid) rather in the toliet because of weak island plumbing. We... more
