Me and my boyfriend booked this holiday back in June, and were excited as it got closer! We booked it through Olympic Holidays, who we have used for several years now and thought were very good, however that was wrong!!
When we arrived (10:00 pm) we was told that food would be avaliable for us, when we went to reception we asked about food and was told there were sandwiches avaliable, when we went to the bar the waiter just laughed and said "no food left!", great start considering we had paid £1500 to stay all inclusive!! So we had a drink and had to go in search for a restaurant at 11:00pm!! We paid for our meal the first night, which is a joke as we were all inclusive!
The next day we went down to breakfast, which was ok. The usual bacon, egg, cereal and toast etc..this was the only decent meal!! We decided to go out and explore the beaches and walked to a near by beach.
When we arrived back we felt a bit peckish! So we went to see what was for the "snack meals" as I was told there was a menu to choose from. This however is not true!! On offer was sweaty omlettes and chips, with a side piece of lettuce and onion! NO THANK YOU! YUK! It look digusting! All sweaty and old!! So again we headed out to the local supermarket to BUY some snacks! When dinner came we decided to go down early, as we hadnt eaten since 8 in the morning. Well dinner...what can I say?! It looked like bones in sauce and I tell you what, I wouldnt even feed it to my dog! So every night of our holiday we had to go out and eat and pay! This is such a terrible place for food and the staff were so rude! I really cannot express how horrible this was, I was in tears everyday and wanted to come home! The air conditioning broke, and as you can imagine it was baking!! a load of water came out of the unit and soaked my entire suitcase, and the apartment! There was more water in our room than in the swimming pool!! We had to wait 2 hours for someone to bring a mop...and someone to come and look at the machine! To which the man blew down a pipe and all the water came out into the cupboard!! Great fun, hey!!
Do not use any of their facilities downstairs, the shower doors to do not shut and neither do the toilet doors! so no privacy while your trying to get ready to go home!! I was so glad to be back in England, this was the worst holiday I have had!! Please avoid!! I am not exaggerating!!! It was terrible!! Not one good point about this place at all!!!

Were do you begin, went with all friends - best holiday I have ever been on - but this hotel was an absolute nightmare. I'm 22 years of age and was treated like dirt every member of staff was rude and very unhelpfull - the only nice person that worked in the hotel was the maid who would have done anything to help you and was always very pleasant. On arrival to the hotel, we were giving a lecture from the reception about the rules and regulations of the hotel - thought I was on a residential with school. When asking to rent a safety deposit box he said that he was too busy and to come back in the morning, but as we were so persistant that we would like to store are personal belongings away safe, he agreed but was very rude about it. The food was rotten and the prices in the hotel were a disgrace!!!!!!! I will definately return to Napa as it was brilliant but as for Panas it is a NO NO!!!!!

There was nothing bad to say about the room, daytimeroom and bedroom.

The only thing I has to say is that, a lot of, wery young, boys did what they could,

to keep us all from sleping ! Not very smart when the hotel is sold as a family-hotel.

Any complains about this was not taken seriusly...... A shame.......

Having lived in Cyprus for Two years with the Army, We were very disappointed with the whole Cyprus thing, when we booked this holiday we wanted a property on the beach, in the Air tours brochure this is exactly what it shows and states.

This was found not to be true, I stood in exact spot from where the photo was taken for the brochure and took a photo myself; grass not sand I got on my photo, but a few minutes from the hotel (2 hotels down) there was a shingle beach with plenty of large sharp rocks.

Nissi Beach was the same as I remember, golden sands and plenty of people, the highlight of our days on the beach was the guy selling sexy juice, which was frozen fruit juice, I didn't let the hotel spoil our holiday as we went back to Cyprus to see friends and pay our respects to the lads of the 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards who were killed in an accident on Mt Troodos.

The Sage restaurant was an excellent place to have something to eat, the Chinese restaurant (on the same side of the road as McDonalds and Pizza Hut).

If you are paying to stay in a 4 * property do not stay at the Panas as this is pushing to be a 2*.

Entertainment is something you see at your local Karaoke, the bar staff ignore you if you are not all inclusive, the pool is like a cattle market people hustling and bustling to get a spot as there are not enough bed for the size of the complex.

I have never been on a holiday where I have spent so much money for so little, I don't complain about where I have stayed, but this place I felt I owed it to anyone who thinks of going, don't say you haven't been warned

For a 4 star hotel I would class it as a 3 star. Room very basic you pay 10 pounds for remote for air conditioning and 10 pounds for TV remote.

Lovely location, pool nice and big, surrounded by nicely kept gardens.

The food a total let down as we paid for all inclusive. It was a waste of money. There was beef, chicken, lamb served in watery sauces with silly names, which was always cold and the kids buffet was served in a cooking dish and it was always cold and all shrivelled up.

All inclusive doesn’t mean all inclusive at this hotel, there where extras on show which all inclusive had to pay for e.g. slushes, ice-lollies, bottled cold water.

The entertainment for kids was mini disco with the same songs every night, then other entertainment came on, the illusionist was the best but on the whole the entertainment was not very good. Snacks on offer[what snacks].

Overall this holiday was a total let down, after paying two thousand four hundred pounds for 2 adults and 2 children for 2 weeks, we will not be going back to this hotel.

The rooms wasn’t very modern but still was fantastic. We was situated around the smaller pool across the road, at first we didn’t like the idea of been over the road, but we actually really liked been there, away from the noise and could use the pool when it wasn’t busy. The hotel was always kept clean and tidy.

I didn’t like the food but I don’t like foreign food, the people I went with really like the food though. The bar was great and Adrian was superb. He worked morning till night and was very quick and friendly at serving.

The entertainer Zoë was brilliant, most of the time she was on her own but she managed and always kept us entertained, e.g. she was told a live act was booked for 9:30 and was told to cancel what she had planned for the night and was also told she could leave early to go to her works beach party. The act didn’t arrive until after 12 but she stayed until 11 when all the guest told her to go to the party, she made sure we knew how to put music on before she went. Zoë was great!!!!!!!!!!!

The reception staff was the complete opposite, they was extremely rude. Three of our all-inclusive bands snapped during our stay, and it says in the welcome pack that if you 'loose' your band it will cost £2 to replace, but we didn’t loose the bands we still had then and they still wanted to charge us, but we refused and got them for free.

Ayia Napa is full of things to do for the hole family, with a fair only 15 mins away (depending on how slow you walk) you mite also think that with it being a clubbing town it will be noisy, but although the hotel is fairly close you cant hear a thing.

You have to visit Panas tourist village, one of the best holidays I have had

The rooms

Very basic but clean and spacious. Cost £10 for a remote for the Air Conditioning. Cost £10 for a remote for the TV. Not enough chairs on the patio and the patio table was only the size for one person. Shower and bath with constant hot water. Definitely not a 5 star hotel more like 3 star.

The food

Some of the guest really liked the food but we were not too keen on it. Our 3 year old hardly ate anything all week and found ourselves going out to pizza hut just to get her to eat something. Not a good thing when you have paid for all inclusive. A good choice each night of beef, fish, pork and lamb, but usually in a watery sauce. Potato wedges and chips on several nights but not every night. Jacket potatoes were always rock hard. Definitely not catering for children’s meals.

Staff

After reading a few reports on how rude and abrupt the staff were we were pleasantly surprised by actually how friendly they all were. The cleaners/maids do a great job and are very friendly and great with the children always making a point of talking to them. The bar staff do work very long hours but are always jolly and joke with the kids. The young lad (blonde) Adrian works very hard all day and night and still has time to chat to everyone. Reception staff not bad but when a manager was needed there is never anyone around.

Entertainment

Well basically there is hardly any entertainment. Terrible for the kids as there is only a mini disco for all of half an hour with the same dances and games (pass the hat and musical chairs) and the winner gets a certificate (Wow). The magician was great and kept them all entertained for a good few hours.

Overall

Generally we didn’t expect to pay nearly two grand for one week all inclusive (two adults and two kids) and not eat much. We were disappointed. Most people who were happy were self catering and paid a fraction of the price. I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel

The hotel was clean and we were more than happy with it. The rooms were cleaned daily and was well maintained. Our room was spacious and although we were disappointed with our view from the balcony (a wall!) we were happy overall.

The staff

The staff were anything but friendly. Working 14 hr shifts in the blazing sunshine, with no breaks. And, therefore, they were not happy to be serving drinks/food and were miserable and unhelpful (who could blame them!)

Food

The food was, overall of good standard, however it was fish, chicken or beef offered every night in a different watery sauce. Also the same veg or potatoes, which got rather boring. We were disappointed with breakfast as the same food was offered each day, and it wasn't particularly nice!

Snack bar!

There is no snack bar! We were disappointed to say the very least. In reality it was a small table, located in the bar area, with leftovers galore! If you are fortunate enough to miss breakfast, then you will be greeted with the leftovers at snack time! Same goes for lunch and dinner!

Luggage

Ok, we were delayed by 12 hours on our return home, and our tour operator arranged for us to stay on at our hotel free of charge. Great, yet we had to be out by 5pm, and we weren’t flying until 11pm. Where do we put our suitcases? In the lobby we were told. Nobody could guarantee that they would be safe, yet we were told by the lady at reception 'It will be ok' hmm!

The drinks

The drinks were a joke. Don’t be fooled by all inc drinks. The hotel boasted, ''cocktail bar'' yet only a small amount of cocktails were offered to ''all inclusive guests''

Ayia Napa

My partner and I made the most of our holiday, yet fully regret choosing the all inclusive option. We would visit Ayia Napa again, as it is a beautiful place with beautiful sights and beaches.

Room

The room was large and well maintained. On arrival though make sure that you obtain your control for the air conditioning (10 Cypriot pound's for deposit). Your room will be roasting when you arrive in it and will take about 30 minutes to cool down when you get the AC going. Every other day the maid will clean your room and do a good job, except she will turn off your air-conditioning. Grrrrr! If you want to watch TV in your room then you will have to pay another 10 pounds deposit.

All inclusive at Panas?

The cocktail bar has a list of 9 cocktails that are available to all inclusive customers. Even you ask for a cocktail that consists of ingredients on the all inclusive menu they say you can't make up a cocktail (e.g., Pina Colada is a no, no!).

The snack-bar is not a bar at all. In reality it solely a table next to the bar where the left overs from breakfast or dinner are put (usually small over-done hot-dogs with no buns)!

Another regular on the snack table is hot jacket potatoes and a bowl of baked beans to spread at your pleasure!

Once the snack table has been devoured there will be no replacements. So the times of the snack bar are subject to change if the customers are hungry enough to eat left-overs!

Every day expect to find chicken or fish (battered) in a different watery sauce accompanied by chips or potato wedges. Breakfast is mainly the hot-dogs you will find on the snack table during the day (because nobody actually likes them!).

The Staff

After reading the other comments on here I have to announce that there is NO Andreas (with a moustache)! If he ever did work at the Panas then I can only assume that he wrote those glowing reports himself! The staff, in general, were very difficult and unwilling to help. They had no qualms about showing that they did not enjoy working! On a few occasions there manners were disgraceful and abrupt!

Ayia Napa

Quality place! The beaches were awesome and the bars were brilliant! Never been in nicer taxis (if you choose Ayia Napa you'll see what we mean)!

Go to Ayia Napa because it is brilliant, but be warned that the All Inclusive option at the Panas is a joke! Probably wouldn't be too bad though if you went to the Panas self catering though?

Me and my girlfriend came here together and are aged 21 and 23 respectively. We are not fussy and really expected much, much more going by what the brochure says!

Hotel was stated as 5 star certainly not, my opinion is 3 star plus. Staff in hotel average the best lad was the guy behind the bar worked his socks off all day long. Food was good but the same stuff each night but just a different theme after two weeks it does get a bit repetitive.

Entertainment team was okay but could be better as only thing for our six year old girl was the mini disco every night for half an hour which consisted of the same stuff each night, adult’s entertainment most nights was turns coming from our hotels doing shows best night was the magician.

For the price we paid for the holiday for the three of us we enjoyed the holiday overall but two weeks is a little to long.

We would not go back to hotel as did not meet the standard that I was expecting.

Family holiday comprising 6 adults and 6 kids. Really enjoyed our stay at the Panas but were slightly disappointed with the accommodation. Although being clean and tidy the facilities were listed as 4 star but were not quite what we had hoped for. This though did not affect the overall enjoyment of our holiday.

All the staff were polite, friendly and welcoming with Andreas (moustache) in the restaurant particularly friendly and fun.

Location was perfect for Ayia and Nissi Beech and some shortcuts were found to make the walk into town a lot quicker, especially if you are heading for Gary’s Bar/Diner and a great meal.

Watch out for the beech salesmen! 15 mins paragliding includes 10 min on boat and only 5 mins in the air, a real disappointment!

Overall a great holiday, we will all be back.

Panas Tourist Village was not our first choice. We booked at Electra Holiday village but then were told it was closing early so we were moved to the Panas. (next door). At first we were annoyed, but when we arrived we were ecstatic. It was so lovely. The staff were extremely kind, and the pool is huge but very good. Our apartment was opposite the mini market, but what we didn’t know was there was a pool there too. Smaller but luxurious. The food was buffet style, lovely and all you can eat except if you didn’t come at the time it was served then it was cold.

The rooms were cleaned daily, we had a two bed roomed apartment, it was big. We couldn’t believe it was all ours. There was 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen a lounging area. A balcony and your own garden! The second bedroom was upstairs it had its own en suite bathroom, a balcony and the room also was large.

Nissi beach was 15 minute walk from the hotel, and a 20 minute walk to Ayia Napa harbour and centre.

You must hire a car and visit Troodos mountains, water world, and fig tree bay (Protaras) we were told that Limassol wasn’t worth a visit, we visited Larnaca, which was nice and had traditional shops but most of it was 1 way systems and there weren’t many signs or they were very small. We couldn’t get out of Larnaca very easily and had to ask for directions.

Andreas, one of the staff was lovely, very kind, everyone liked him. There was a big screen TV which was on at night mostly, where we watched Arsenal (my club) vs. Panathanaikos.

Overall the holiday was fabulous, we will definitely go back to Cyprus next year to explore the other side of the island!

I would recommend Panas Tourist Village to families and elderly couples, not so much for teens on their own.

The location was about as close to perfect as can be. Only a 10 minute walk to the bustling centre but far enough out to be peaceful and quite if you wanted it.

The pool was clean and the poolside tidy. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The on site entertainment did there utmost to raise the weary into life and in were very friendly. All the facilities were clean and prices reasonable. And best of all it was only a few minutes to the glorious Nissi beach where we spent most of our days.

Thanks also to Ham Yam hire for there hire services. They went out of their way to provide what we wanted and when with a generous discount for regulars. Anybody who goes must take advantage of the cheap car and bike hire and tour the island especially the dirt track leading to Troodos. Driving on the left is great and the local drivers are of an excellent standard.

What more can we say? In 4 weeks time we will be back at Panas and having a fantastic time!
