Melina Hotel

this is a family run place. the rooms are clean and neat and twin low beds ok. views from balcony. this is at the top of santorini, so you walk over the streets and wind your way down the streets and back up to walk home. this is great for not carting luggage up and down santorini. the breakfast is fresh and great. the owners ring ahead for you for tours, ferries etc. very good.

I would highly recommend the Melina Hotel! My husband and I absolutely loved it there! About a 5 minute walk to Fira, which makes it quiet. The rooms are very clean, cozy, and comfortable! The staff was courteous and helpful, providing a yummy breakfast each morning. We felt very much at home!

A good hotel, handy to the town and we were glad we chose this location instead of Caldera View as this hotel is only a 5 – 7 minute walk into town. Also very quiet area. Most of the ferries arrive at the new Port and you have to get transport to your hotel from there which can be expensive. We paid 20 euro (which was organised by the hotel) and found out later we could have got public transport for 2.40 euro for both of us and our bags. The buses are waiting there at the ferry terminal. The Melina hotel is a great place to stay. A few minutes walk fromthe heart Fira in a quiet area. The location is ideal, if you wish to enjoy the nightlife in Fira but be in a quite area. Yanis and his dad the owners are really friendly, always there to help for directions, or giving tips on the weather and trips. The room are clean and well maintained. All this for a very decent price.

The hotel is conveniently located on a quiet side street and only a short walk from the center of town. We stayed for two nights here. The accommodation was basic but more than sufficient, and the room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and the hot breakfast was quite good. Unless you have to stay at a hotel with the caldera view right through the window of your room (and pay $$$), this is an excellent choice at a modest price. We won't hesitate to stay here again.

My wife and I stayed 6 nights at the Hotel Melina and found it to be clean and quiet. (My wife even thought it was clean, so that is saying something). It is a 5 minute walk to the center of town (literally 5 min.). The breakfast was nice, the staff/family were helpfull and overall we enjoyed our stay. We would stay there again. Family run, small hotel. Clean, quiet. Located to the east of Fira, so no sunset view over the water, but still has nice views from the room patio. Is a short walk (maybe a quarter-mile) to the shops and restaurants of Fira. Good-sized pool, chairs and sunshades on the deck. Was well-maintained and clean.

We were really happy to have stayed in this hotel. It is in a really quiet place and we had a great sleep, very important after a long night out! The rooms were really good and clean and the people very friendly and helpful. We are planing our next years trip and this is a hotel we will be sure to include again!

If you do not need a caldera view at Fira and you want a nice quiet place to stay, Hotel Melina is the one. It is situated within walking distance to the heart of Fira (see the sun set, caldera view, shopping, etc), the prehistoric museum and the Fira bus station, where buses will bring you to the other towns in Santorini. A very nice place that contains all you may expect from a category C hotel. It is a nice, quiet and clean hotel. People are very helpful and friendly. The building is traditional with all the necessary comforts. It is located 10 min walking distance from the centre of Fira (Santorini's capital) which is good if you want to avoid the noise from the crowded town centre.
