AC Gran Canaria Hotel Reviews
" The AC Gran Canaria is perfect for... "

The AC Gran Canaria is perfect for business travellers as all the necessary amenities are provided.
However, we were visiting Gran Canaria as holiday makers and were disappointed that the people at Expedia did not mention to us that the hotel may be unsuitable as they knew the purpose of our trip.
When we arrived at the airport we caught a taxi. Unfortunately, when I told him the address he did not know where it was (and I speak Spanish!!) and then he overcharged us for the journey by double (we paid 40 Euros) the amount it was on the way back (when a native Spanish man booked it for us!)
Also, we were told when checking in that our breakfast was complimentary, yet when it came to the end of the week we had been charged 25 Euros a day!
However the breakfast was lovely, as were the evening meals but I would not recommend the evening meals as they were very expensive.
Another thing was that the bar downstairs tended to open and close when it pleased (and not just at siesta!)
Also, the pool is very small and cold and sun beds tended to be taken over by towels (grr!)
Overall, the hotel was lovely but unsuitable for anyone other than the business traveller.
I would also not recommend this area if you do not speak any Spanish as hardly anyone spoke English.
The gem of our holiday was the little bar/restaurant a few doors down from the hotel which served gorgeous food and were extremely friendly! And there was a bus stop straight opposite the hotel, the beach was not at all far and there is a Barclays Bank behind the hotel.
Also, the park is a very nice area with a lot of nice restaurants, souvenir shops, places to buy newspapers and estancos to buy cheap cigarettes.
I don’t think we would go to Las Palmas again but would be open to suggestions as to elsewhere to stay in Gran Canaria, not Playa del Ingles please!

The hotel is very central and walking distance to all the Bars and shopping arcades and there is a Bus Stop outside hotel to other locations in the area.
We had a lovely holiday and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
