Villas Paraiso

We just finished a 7-week vacation at the Villas Paraiso hotel and we warmly recommend it. Although modest, the suites are practical and comfortable. It is a family hotel and Ricardo, the manager and the rest of the staff are very gentle. The swimming pool is surrounded by beautiful lush gardens. Breakfast is optional and the suites have equipped kitchenettes. We also had daily maid service. Coming again next year! When my wife and I first stayed here, we could not get over the attention and friendliness that was given to us. The kitchen facilities fit our wants-needs, with everything we would hope for. Shower-bathroom facilities are clean as well as the bedroom with two double beds. Units each have a balcony and front walk-way, adequate to hold lawn chairs to sit on outside, comfortable. I just spent 2 weeks in Ixtapa and stayed at the Parasio. It was an excellent experience. The staff was so friendly, it was like staying with friends. They make you feel so welcome and appreciate your visit. As well, the long term guests there give it a real community feel. The rooms were well maintained and cleaned everyday. A fridge and hot stove allowed us to make meals as we wished, or we could walk just one block to the restaurants and shops. Before traveling to Ixtapa we read the reviews on this website about the Villas Paraiso. All the reviews were positive. After arriving at the Villas Paraiso, we felt all the reviews we had read were totally incorrect. The people that work at the hotel are nice and very kind. However, the room was so below average that after one night of bad sleep we actually checked out and found another hotel. The room was dirty, the sheets and pillows were extremely shabby and stained. My wife and I are returning for our seventh stay in 2005. It's very much becoming our home away from home, and our three week stay is none too long. It's quite and relaxing with only a five minute walk to the beach. Ricardo, Lucia, and the rest of the staff are genuinely concerned for our well being. The rooms are spacious and clean. Great, helpful and friendly staff, perfect for families. We visit every year, kids enjoy the pool and we enjoy the company and laid-back atmosphere. Many visitors make their annual pilgrimage to Villas Paraiso, many from Canada and America. Hotel is very pleasant and has cooking facilities. Access to all the nearby beaches, restaurants, groceries is easy and convenient. Rates are reasonable, staff is very accommodating - they treat every guest as special. Highly recommend staying there.

My husband AL and I [Diana] first stayed at Villas Paraiso in 2001. We went back every year and will be going again in 2005. The accommodations are exceptionally clean with daily maid service. The staff of this hotel will show you true Mexican hospitality at its best. The hotel is not modern but is spotless and comfortable. Pool is lovely and location is adjacent to beach and shopping.

Wow - this hotel went beyond our expectations for a budget family vacation. We found a great deal on expedia at $50.00US per night (including breakfast) and thought we'd take a chance on this family run hotel. What a pleasant surprise when we arrived to see lush tropical gardens surrounding super clean, comfortable suites.
