Beware of sharetime-sellers
Stayed there just one day. They offer you a free night/dinner in exchange to hear a one-hour (really about two hours) promotion of a Vacation World sharetime vacation plan. Sounded good, but after hearing all the promotional and don't planning to buy, even when the rest of the staff were nice, the final vendor, some girl named Alicia acted very rude and practically told us to leave the place as quicky as possible. Very bad experience
absolutely horrible
My husband and I decided to go to Acapulco for a break. I booked the hotel online and from the description it sounded very nice. But when we got there we realised that it was not at all what we had thought. Only for the location (right on the beach) it would be a 2 star hotel. The lifts were terribly slow, and the door on one of the lifts would only partially open, making it impossible to get the suitcases in. The room looked dirty, the balcony seemed to be ready to fall down, it was covered with pigeon droppings, the bathroom was awful,... more
Imposible noise....
a five star hotel .....being generous 3*. Imposible to sleep with that noise... (air extractor)
Cockroach hotel
My husband and I went to this hotel with another couple. This was the first time ever I encountered a massive amount of cockroaches. I am well aware that they exist in these countries. They gathered under our bed , the hotel fumigated our room twice but to no avail they wouldnt leave. Our friends room was also festered. One night the other couple came into our room because they couldnt stand the snapping of the little creatures, we had our husbands stay up to keep watch. I think I would of had more of a vacation staying home than at this... more
Excellent Experience
A few summers ago, I visited Acapulco with a school group. We stayed in the El Presidente and I had a pleasant experience. The air conditioner worked great in our room, the pool was nice and clean, and the view was excellent. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone. I guess when you are curteous and show respect, the favor is returned.
The worst
We have been going to Acapulco for 15 years. In fact we own time share in Acapulco. We love the weather and the convenience of the beach and the city all rolled into one. But this hotel was the worst by far. We were put into El Presidente due to legal battles with the time share we own. The Presidente was renovating and the noise was unbearable, banging on pipes and knocking down walls until 1 am. We were given a suite on the top floor and there was no balcony, just a view of the other hotel which was 200 feet away Since they were... more
Just don't go there
I was going to stay at my Neices home in Acapulco, but unfortunately the plumbers did not have it ready so I decided to stay at the El Presidente Hotel in Acapulco. This was a bad mistake. The Air Conditioning in the room was not working properly and made a terrible noise. So bad that it was hard for me to sleep. We could not go swimming in the Hotel Pool because Management decided to drain it. The Hotel Restaurant serves terrible food. So bad that everyone that ate there complained to the Management about it. Then the sewer system backed... more
By far...the worst hotel!!!
This was by far the worst hotel I've ever seen. This was supposed to be a 5 star hotel. In fact after seeing the room we decided to pay the first night but go next door to the Fiesta Inn. The bedpread was stained, there were no towels or toilet paper, the bed sunk inward. EVERYTHING about this place was aweful!!! I don't think they have remodeled their rooms since they opened... As I was [processing my check out I made sure that these comments were noted and the front desk receptionist was in total agreement with me.
Was note what I expected
Stayed at the Presidente Hotel in Acapulco on 07-15 to 08-01. Arrived with a group of friends (16 people) and found check in to be pretty hassel free. Rooms were not what I expected as the hotel is advertised as a 4 star and I've stayed in some Holiday Inn's with better rooms. The a/c did not work and the small fridge in the room was not working as well. The views from the room were great but the pool and pool area were not very big. The food the the breakfast aread was ok but you are betther off walking around and looking for a better... more
