Wora Bura Resort & Spa

We stayed at the Wora Bura for Two weeks in June 07. It is a fantastic experience. The level of service is definitely 5 star and higher. The rooms are spacious and very well equipped. Our room was close to the pool and adjacent to our childrens apartment. The rooms are very well cleaned each day, and are checked in the evening with a further change of towels if necessary. i dream of the wora bura....my husband and i spent our honeymoon at the wora bura in jan. the first night we were in a room with a terrible view due to construction, as it was out honeymoon we couldnt handle the view and were moved the next day. staff was polite, friendly and thai culture was everywhere. the evening shuttles were great, just make sure to book early as they can get quite packed. the poolside was lovely and we spent ages lying out with the amazing view. the balconettes each room have a re also great. this hotel is... more

We stayed for 8 days. It was very child friendly. The staff were excellent. There was no problem with construction news. The Thai food was excellent.

We have stayed in many resort hotels throughout SE Asia and this one is typical of many of the newer developments. Nice and shiny buildings with an incredible recreactional pool only let down in the execution by not fully trained staff (perhaps due to the very competitive nature of Hua Hin's hotels which are popping up at an amazing rate.) Okay, let me cut to the chase: This place is absolutely heaven. Now the details... We stayed for a week in a deluxe room (simply a little larger than the standard) which was beautifully appointed with elegant furnishings, divinely comfortable bed and pillows, deep bath from which one can watch TV (yes, they have cable and DVDs) and ample bar amenities. The bottom line is this place is fabulous. This has a feel of a classic hotel but with modern facilities. The architecture is based on 19th century Thai, i.e. during the reign of King Rama V. Wora Bura Resort has the benefits of a larger hotel and the charm of a boutique hotel. The hotel layout is well designed with easy access to the beach, spa and various restaurants. My husband and I stayed at Wora Bura for 4 nights in Feb 06. I turned up with a broken knee from a skiing accident in France beforehand. The staff could not do enough to assist me in every way possible, and sometimes I hid from them because I felt so guilty that they were paying me so much attention. The resort is absolutely beautiful in every way. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left I couldn't get enough of the resort and months later I'm still wishing I was there. We stayed at the Wora Bura in February 2006 for three nights with a one year old toddler in a deluxe room and had a great time. The hotel and the grounds are beautiful and the pool is amazing. The breakfast every morning was great although if we got there at 9:00 AM it was crowded and they were out of some items, but overall there was still lots to choose from. We stayed at the Wora Bura resort for nine nights. The resort, especially the swimming pool, is peaceful and luxurious. The pool and ocean are both so warm, just like a bath! A great place to stay if you want quiet and retreat, you can hear a pin drop at 7:00 pm! The breakfast and room service are phenomenal, but unfortunately we experienced consistently poor service and food at their restaurant for lunch and dinner. My wife and i stayed at the wora bura from 17th to 29th jan 2006 in a deluxe room. We have travelled extensively and have stayed in many fine hotels but have to say that the wora bura comes right at the top of the list of hotels we have stayed in.It is new and the hotel is still adding to its guest facilities but if you want peace and luxury then this is a great place to stay. It appears to mainly cater for french, german and scandinavian tours so an english accent was few and far between. The staff look after your every whim with a relish... more
