Noise, noise, and yet more noise !
We stayed over night after visiting Brighton to see Little Britain. We were on the third floor. My wife thought i had opened the window as the noise was so loud you could hear everything! The traffic was continuous and the revellers of the night with their loud disgusting language made sleep impossible. If you are in Brighton for a stag or hen party this is ideal if not find somewhere else!
really clean
this hotel has so many good points: Location is great, Rooms are really, really spotless, Shower was fantastic, Bed comfortable, Good value for money. Downsides are: the constant smell of Subway sandwiches in the hallways, the staff take FOREVER to check you in. All in all, a brilliant hotel. People shouldn't complain about noise if they book a hotel on one of the main Brighton shopping streets! This really is one of the cleanest hotel rooms i have ever stayed in. It was immaculate.
Fair hotel, great location
We had a newly refurbished room, which looked as though it had never been stayed in before. We felt it was slightly overpriced, but Brighton is generally expensive for hotel rooms. The room was a little noisy as it overlooked a car park, from which the bins were emptied early in the morning. There was also a very loud pigeon. However, the location in the centre of Brighton is great, and ideal for sightseeing and all transport links.
Rubbish!!
The only thing going for this hotel was the location, which I have to admit was ideal. Apart from that it fell down on everything you would expect. It's overpriced, poor facilities, unhelpful staff, have to pay for parking, cold showers. Would not reccommend this hotel to anyone.
location, location, location
Good hotel, fantastic location, situated right in the heart of Brighton, you are steps away from the Pavillion, Shopping and minutes from the Sea. 10 minute walk from Brighton railway station. Rooms were clean and comfortable with kettle, hairdryer, TV. Got a room at the back away fom the main street so it was quiet. Fantastic shower. Didn't bother with breakfast as you can get a full English for less than £3 at both BHS and Wetherspoons which are only a couple of minutes walk away.
great location, comfort, staff
Having read some previous reviews of this hotel i was a bit dubious about booking but due to its location i took the chance and am so pleased i did. i had read about the hotel being noisy so requested a quiet room which i was given no problem ( no. 709). The room was indeed quiet and also massive, i had a king size bed to myself!! It was decorated well and had everything i needed, the shower was excellent. another thing i would like to praise is the security, you need your room card to operate the lift and also to open doors to the corridors... more
Central and clean hotel!
Stayed here for Brighton Pride and we were both impressed. Stayed in room 231 which is very quiet and huge ! Try and get it if you can. There was something wrong with the cold water in the sink so bottled water was needed. Aalthough when mentioned to reception they could not fix it so gave us a free night which we were impressed with considering they just offered it without asking. It is expected that if you stay in the centre of any town it will be noisy (although we didnt) but its central location is excellent. Will... more
manager -rude! room -noisy!
terrible. terrible. terrible. i am a previous employee of the hotel chain premier travel inn and i was digusted at how myself and my friends were treated. check in took forever. the windows in our room wouldnt open or close properly and the noise in the room kept me and my friends up all night. after complaining at reception the following morning i was rudely spoken to by the general manager and she basically told us to like it or lump it and maybe i should stay somewhere else! the location of the hotel overall is good but its on a main... more
The Noise!!
This hotel is great if you want to be in the middle of Brighton, but if you get a room at the back of the hotel you will have a early wake up call!!!. We were woken up every morning but people collecting the rubbish, it was really bad. If you are there on a stag/hen do you willl be fine but if you want something a bit more relexing choose a different hotel.
great food really nice staff
i think that the hotel is really great and the food is fantastic especially as you seem to have changed the food menu.the staff are especially good .i found the chef(bret)really nice as he helped me out as i could not eat nuts so he made me something else also i think the south african girl was pleasant when she served me.i will be telling my work colleagues about how good the hotel was thank you
