Punta Tragara

I have stayed at the Punta Tragara three times and this year will be the fourth! I have stayed at other hotels on the island as well. The views are gorgeous of the sea and the rooms are spacious with great antiques. During breakfast you have a view of the Farligioni rocks and the breakfast overall is great. The service is excellent and extremely accomodating. The two pools are very pretty as well. Also, the pool restaurant has delicious food and wonderful bellenis. Last May we returned to Italy, specifically do spend about 4 or 5 days on Capri. Searching online, we found the wonderful Punta Tragra Hotel. It is rated 5 stars. About 50 Rooms/Quiet in a superb,scenic location. The hotel is perched on a cliff overlooking the Bay of Naples. dirty outdated rooms. unkept and outdated. not worthy of a 5 star rating. rooms were like a cheap US motel room

Exceptional site, in harmony with flowers, plants and trees growing withing its walls, and almost everywhere views of the sea. Originally a villa designed by Le Corbusier, the hotel has water views from rooms, restaurant, pool,and walkways. This place is situated in a great location for those that don't mind walking 10-15 minutes into town, which we didn't. It gave you peace and quiet away from the monotony of the center of town. The view is outstanding. The patios are nice but small. We watched the sunset from out there every night. However, the truth of the matter regarding the staff at the hotel is that there are 2 women that understand and speak English very well. But, there are 2 that don't understand any English. We stayed at Punta Tragara recently as the first stop on our honeymoon. Our room was stunning with our own terrace looking over the ocean and cliffs - an incredible view. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel had everything you need. An amazing pool and bar looking over the ocean and a beautiful breakfast with everything you could possibly want. The Punta Tragara is a lovely hotel that is about a 10-15 minute walk into the center of Capri. I really enjoyed the removed setting at the end of one of the most beautiful streets in the world. The location provides invigorating walks into town and hikes down to the water/beach clubs and around the island accessible just in front of the hotel. The Punta Tragara Hotel on the island of Capri was one of five 5* hotels we stayed on our honeymoon. This hotel was absolutely outstanding in so many areas with no faults. The location was amazing, the staff were the best I have ever come across in any 5* Hotel in the world. The food was excellent and it was total value for money, despite it's expense. I cannot praise this hotel enough. It is rare these days, to have that warm 'fuzzy' feeling about a hotel where you stay for 3 nights!

We stayed at the Punta Tragara on Capri in October, right before it closed for the season. We (2 couples) were among the only guests there!! It made it a little quiet at breakfast and the bar closed down early at night. However, the staff was very attentive and helpful, made us feel at home and we had a BIG room with terrace overlooking the sea and great sized bathroom with separate sunken tub. It is a beautiful property and I would definitley recommend it.

My wife and I stayed here on a honeymoon package deal with their sister hotel in Rome. Everything was just as they said. We booked through a travel agency on Capri. The toughest part was dealing with Naples. Couldn't wait to get out of there. The view from the room as amazing. We enjoyed the short walk into town. You must stay at least three days to really see Capri. We walked the entire island. Definately do some exploring along the side walkways. Skip any sit down lunches in lieu of a pannini or pastry.
