Marbella Club Hotel

Ignore any negative reviews and trust me, this place is wonderful. The rooms, the staff, the gardens, the restaurants, everything is first class and faultless. We were told to avoid mid July through til the end of August as Marbella gets overcrowded and I'd suggest June or September as a perfect time to visit. My wife and I just returned to the UK following a truly memorable stay at what must be the finest hotel on the Costa del Sol: The Marbella Club Hotel. It was a truly luxuriant experience with levels of service and attentiveness that were faultless. The hotel is an oasis within the bustle of Marbella, set in lush sub-tropical gardens. We decided to spend a few days in Marbella and as ever my wife looked at various guides in order to choose the 'best' - ie. most luxurious and expensive - location to stay. The Marbella Club was eventually decided upon. Initial impressions are that it is very discrete and stylish and check-in was efficient. My husband and I stayed here July 23-27. We booked a 2 bedroom villa which was amazing!! Though I'm sure their hotel rooms are to die for, we wanted to experience something unique. Plus this is where all the celebrities have stayed over the decades (though in bungalow suites). It was decorated most luxuriously!! This hotel seems to have seen it's days. There is plenty of room for improvements and needs major refurbishing. Beach is nothing special at all. This actually has more to do with the location then with the hotel. If you want a nice beach you should NOT go to Marbella. The gardens are beautiful. The food in the restaurant is quite good. The hotel is a beautiful property in a great location. Rooms are very stylish and the food is excellent. The crowd here is very chic with lots of model types wandering around. On the downside, the beach is not much to speak of, although its very relaxed and well laid out with plenty of loungers, etc. The biggest problem is the level of service or rather the lack of it!! What an incredible place to stay! My husband and I were here for an extended long weekend and loved every minute of our stay. We were blown away by the rooms and the service. Our hotel room was immaculate and nicely air-conditioned, which was a treat given the warmer weather whilst we were in town. The pools were well-maintained and simply wonderful to sit beside. Stayed in this hotel for the weekend, Very expensive very nice rooms, nice bar but I much prefer the Puente Romano down the road a lot more relaxed and just as nice

Try the buffet overlooking the beach. I have never seen anything better!

Just returned from a short break in Marbella and stayed the last night at the Marbella Club. Wonderful rooms, huge bathrooms (good rates off season), played golf at their golf club and found the staff really helpful. Great location mid way between Marbella and Porto Banus - would definitely recommend this hotel and will return!
