" The Stephanos apartments were very... "

The Stephanos apartments were very clean but basic. The rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh bedding was provided often. This family orientated hotel was a pleasure to stay in and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful.

Polis itself is a very traditional Cypriot town but is growing fast. Its local beach is lovely and its night life is also brilliant with restaurants situated around the town’s main square. The food is delicious in almost all its restaurants and the staff are extremely friendly. Over all Polis was a relaxing and peaceful holiday.

" Accommodation was basic but very... "

Accommodation was basic but very clean and comfortable, also had superior rooms. Family run and very helpful. Nothing is too much bother.

Polis itself has a very nice square with lots of bars, just off the square was the restaurant Moustakalis (which means large moustache) it is run by father and son, Simon and Andréa’s, the food was fab as were all the staff. We also found a beach bar called Takkas on the road to Aphrodite run by Robbie, great fun good food and the best kleftico I've ever tasted.

Hire a 4x4 and you can take a trip on the akamas, its stunning with secluded little bays and turtle beach, have lunch at the last castle excellent value great food and wine.

There are lots of little wineries worth visiting, and the old churches in the villages (some with 13th century frescos) are very interesting.

All in all it was a great and relaxing holiday made very special by the local people. <br>
