This resort was fantastic for our needs, the pools were great and the animation team really worked hard. There was a massive down point for us though which I think everybody should be aware of. The hotel rents out part of the complex to local childrens holiday clubs|(NOT PART OF THE HOTEL RUN KIDS CLUB) and twice a day 20 or so children of varying ages descend into the pool area for their games etc, these were volleyball, swimming lessons and keep fit (complete with the meter long foam woggles/floats). Other paying guests had to leave the swimming pool as there was not enough space for everyone. Imagine 20 or so children waving these woggles around or playing volleyball or having swimming lessons whilst you and your family are playing or swimming!! Also the instructors of these clubs asked us to move which is a total insult. They also sectioned off the top part of the dining area by the pool overlooking the spectacular view for these children, which again is not acceptable when you are a full paying guest. The animation teams football games with the guests had to be cancelled on several occasions because the childrens holiday club were using the football pitch. When we complained to the manager he assured us he would sort it out but unfortunately despite a few mare complaints he never did. We loved the holiday, the pools, the friendly reception staff. We did not love NOT being able to use the facilities at all times and also the unfriendly bar staff at the poolside!! Please be aware that this will affect your holiday especially if you have very small children as we had no choice but to remove our kids from the pool each time these holiday clubs used it.
Advice:
Only if they did not rent the complex out to privately run kids holiday clubs

Myself, my husband and two children (6 & 3) have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Elia Latchi Village. Friendly staff on reception, Les the porter was great and he was always happy to help (or give you a lift up the hill!!). On arrival at our apartment we were greeted with a little bottle of wine which was lovely. The apartment was spacious and really clean and the maids came in every day to clean and make beds etc. Lovely sea views from our apartment. John the Romanian chef was really friendly and we loved his cooking. It was great to sit outside eating a beautiful dinner and watching the sun go down. All inclusive was definitely the way to go. Eat as much as you like and there was a good selection of free drinks, wine, beer and some cocktails. The entertainment team were great!! We are all still dancing round the house to La Boomba!!! Phillipo, Alex, Paulo, Marzia were great with the kids and entertaining throughout the day as well.

The site itself was lovely, great pools and no problem getting a sunbed. The only problem with the holiday was that one week wasn't long enough. Musn't forget to mention the weather, beautiful sunshine all week in the thirties.

Myself, my husband and our 12 year old grandson have just returned from Elia Latch Village where we had a wonderful two weeks. It was the first time we had gone 'All Inclusive' and it certainly will not be the last! For breakfast, lunch and evening meal there was plenty of choices for everyone's taste. We enjoyed everything we tried! Inbetween meal times you could order snacks, which were a meal in themselves! Not having to pay for drinks/ice creams etc was a novelty to us, and we certainly felt it was all excellent value.

The staff, from arriving at reception, catering staff, maids, animation team, were wonderful and did their best to provide an excellent service. Our room was spotlessly clean, sheets and towels changed every 2-3 day. The landscaped complex itself is beautiful.

It was the first holiday we have had where we were happy to stay on the complex - there was enough going on for everyone, ranging from sports throughout the day, to aqua gym, a 'quiet pool' for those who wanted a bit more relaxation, and entertainment laid on during the evening for for both children and adults. All in all - something for everyone!

Latchi itself is a fairly quiet little resort with some lovely fish restaurants (steak available!) in the harbour, from where you can take advantage of all kinds of water sports. Unfortunately, the beach leaves a lot to be desired if you like a beach holiday - it is sand/shingle and has to be left in a natural state for the turtles to lay their eggs. However, this did not detract from our holiday in anyway. It was a pleasure to stay on the complex.

Fantastic! After reading reviews from last year was really concerned but these were unfounded. Had a really spacious 2 bedroom apartment which was clean and no danger of falling over each other. Food was good although as with every all inclusive resort can be repetitive but no where near as bad as we have experienced before. pools were great. sat in same spot each day and there was no fight for a sunbed even if you did not go up until 9.30 or after. even if we went out for the morning and did not get to the pool area until after lunch there was always 4 sunbeds together for us all. plenty of umbrellas, an absolute must if you have kids that need shade. kids absolutely loved the pool and water slide and the animation team really made you feel welcome (once they know your name expect to get roped in for everything!!). kids club was okay but a lot of the activities did not seem to happen but this was no fault of animation team. expect to know all of the moves of the "boom ba" by the end of your holiday!! would love to go back again next year and would definitely recommend this resort. don't be put off by some reviews about the hill - it isn't that bad and reception will always take you up in a golf style buggy if you really need assistance. overall excellent holiday.

i would just like to say i had the best hols ever, it is small, safe, relaxing place not to many people there so was safe for kids to enjoy the pool, sunbeds was always there for you to use. the amination team really made it for us, they were naturals alex was great he is always friendly, happy and gets everyone involved in games. fillipo and him bounce of each other and are a great pair to make you have a good time. palio is excellent with the kids he doesnt put on an act and is really at ease with them, he runs the kids club and my kids loved going there, the night entertinment was good although could do with varying it a bit but they no this and as the team is growing so will the shows!! johnny the barman and all the stff was excellent and i would defo go back next year. my only downfall is the birds kept me awake first few nights and sometimes the machine didnt work for the kids to get the ice cream. also i would just like to add my brother had to stay out there as his son was unwell and they have allowed him to stay half board in his same room for 2 nights and if need be longer they will provide another room for them till they get a flight. excellent service and staff well done alex, palio and fillipo and johnny and thanks for the good holiday

Upon arrival we were told to wait until someone came and showed us to our appartment, after 10 minutes we decided to go and find it ourselves, and we were the only ones checking in. The appartment was compact but clean and adequate for our needs. The cleaner(s) replace bins and replenish toilet roll but do nothing else and thats when they remember to come.

The pool at the main bar is great but can get very busy, there are other pool areas which are quieter but equally as good.

We chose All Inclusive and this did get a bit repetitive and we were only there for a week and only had breakfast and dinner as we were out exploring the island most days. The Childrens choice was particulary poor. At the main bar on a evening it was taking at least 10 minutes to get served, there is a table service but if you order from him you will be lucky to receive a drink within a hour if at all. Also as the night goes on less alcohol is added to the cocktails and the service deteorates even further.

The entertainment is something else, it mostly consisted of the animation team holding bingo, a quiz, karaoke or games. The Childrens mini disco consisted of the same music in the same order every night, but the Kids didn't seem to mind.

If your thinking of going to Cyprus do not travel to or from Paphos Airport on a Wednesday. Our return journey was a nightmare, when we arrived at the airport we were made to que outside in direct sunshine for over a hour before we reached any shade then another 20 minutes before we reached the entrance, in total it took nearly 3 hours to check in resulting in our flight been delayed by 2 hours. Apparently this happens every Wednesday.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay

The staff were very friendly and included everyone in the daytime activities. They did things such as water volleyball, football, swimming races etc.

The rooms were satisfactory but that didn't matter because you don't go on holiday to stay inside your room!!!

The food was very good and the waiters were very quick and friendly.

The entertainment was good quizzes, dancers etc. It was a good laugh!

Would definietly go back although I would recommend that you hire a car otherwise you will not get very far outside of the village!

This hotel was really nice and clean. We were very impressed with the check in staff. They were friendly and accommodating and great for information. Their English speaking ability put us to shame!

The rooms were comfortable. A bit small but the balcony gave it a lot more space. The room facilities were OK with TV, air con, and kitchenette area.

The activities on site were really good fun. The pool was good with water slide for kids and separate kid’s pool etc. The play park was really well equipped.

The evening shows were well planned and presented. We had a really good time and met a few British couples with kids. Friendly atmosphere and great weather!

This is a resort that has the potential to be excellent but needs a lot of TLC and renovation. The view from the restaurant is superb overlooking the bay, but is the only 4 star thing about the place. The reception staff are brilliant and speak good English, and the food is good (although very repetitive if you’re staying for 2 weeks!).

The apartments are in need of updating and are very shabby (at least ours was) and the cleaning left a lot to be desired. The grounds are spacious and well laid out, but again in need of some attention especially around the pool areas which needed a good clean up! Security at the site needs to be better as anyone can (and did) walk on site and I would recommend you rent a safety deposit box.

We didn’t use the entertainment facilities much - as it was the end of season I think they'd wound down a bit so we got film nights, a couple of quizzes, a magician and some Cypriot dancers!

Latchi is a nice quiet resort with some good places to eat, and had we paid 2 star money for this holiday then we would have been much happier, however, as it was we paid 4 star prices for 2 star accommodation.

We went to Elia Latchi village in August after getting it cheap off First Choice so we weren't sure what to expect. When we got there, we were surprised at the good service of the English speaking reception staff in the hotel.

Someone was there to take you to your room in a van with all your luggage and made sure your room was ok for you. We found that it was very clean and the maid service was very good.

On our first day we noticed that the holiday village was very hilly and steep to get up the main pool. But if you are near the main pool, unlike us, you are very lucky! There's 2 pools at the hotel, a quiet one and a busier one. We found that there was more going on at the main one as that's where the animation team do all the activities. All the staff behind the bar were very good and fairly quick.

The food at the hotel was overall quite nice. Breakfast is good as on some days, a chef would come and make omelettes or fried eggs which are really nice. Lunch is served on the veranda where there's a barbeque that cooks kebabs, burgers and things like that.

Dinner was good as well - fish night is on Friday and there are other nice things throughout the week as well (although it is repeated the second week). Also got chatting with the chef one day and found out that he is 86 years old!

Entertainment was ok; you can see the animation team tried hard. They did things like Grease shows and magic nights etc. But BEWARE! If you don't like to get up on stage, don't play crazy bingo! The team do this funny little club dance as well throughout the day and I'm sure you'll all be up there doing it by the end of your holiday!

Latchi is really in the middle of nowhere, but there's a few bars, shops and there's the harbour to the left of the hotel. Polis is the next nearest place but there's not much more there either. (But go there if you need the chemist).

The beach as well is really rocky and not much sand. I think we went once and came back for dinner, as the waves were huge! If you want to go on a boat trip, book one at the harbour because it's much cheaper.

At the time we went, it was very hot and we couldn't sit in it for very long, as it was unbearable some days. But the pool was there for us to swim in (despite the 3 times in a fortnight that we had to get out of the pool because a baby pooed!)

All in all, we had a very enjoyable holiday at Elia Latchi and was definitely worth the price we paid.

I would definitely recommend this place.

It was lovely. Cathy and her animation team were excellent, they got everyone involved and worked really hard.

The cleaners come round every day and change the bed sheets. They even did the washing up for us.

We didn’t even need to use our own towels as they provide clean towels for around the pool and clean towels in your room which was really good.

The food was lovely and service was excellent. I would definitely like to go back.

Just returned from a great all inclusive holiday at the Elia Latchi Holiday Village. We had booked a studio, but when we arrived we found we'd been upgraded to a lovely, recently refurbished, one bed villa-type with a spacious lounge diner downstairs and a huge bedroom and bathroom upstairs. We arrived in the middle of the night and there was fresh fruit, sandwiches and a bottle of wine awaiting our arrival.

Sadly, the day after our arrival the bath started to leak into the kitchen and we had to move rooms. The staff helped us to move quickly and provided transport for our luggage. The second room wasn't to the same standard, but it was still spacious and clean.

We decided that we weren't going to let the move spoil our holiday and although we had the inconvenience of packing and unpacking it didn't spoil the holiday overall. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels; they even did the washing up!

The Village itself is perfect for families and there was no noise at night or groups of teenagers hanging about. Our boys (7 & 12) had a fantastic time and made some great friends.

The animation team work very hard to keep everyone entertained and they don't pressure you to join in if you don't want to. The evening entertainment is a bit 'Butlins,' but again all the children seem to enjoy it. We ate out a couple of nights in the harbour, so there's plenty to do if you don't want to endure another rendition of aga do or the camp dance!

The two outdoor pools are kept clean with the smaller pool being quieter and more relaxing, but if you have children then you'll probably end up at the larger pool as this is where all the action is. You have to be up early to bag a sun bed though.

We took a taxi to nearby Polis from the Village, which was very cheap. We also took a boat trip from the harbour for half a day and this was a great way to see the coastline and do some snorkelling. We would probably hire a car if we went back and we'd stay for longer (a week wasn't long enough) although after two weeks of all inclusive I think the meals would get a bit repetitive...not to mention severe waistline expansion!

We had to contact reception a couple of times while we were there and they were a bit slow in getting back to us with answers, but they were very busy the week we were there so I guess they were overloaded a bit. Something we didn't know, and found out just by chance is that the Village provides a free-of-charge courtesy room if you have to leave at stupid o'clock. You can book this for an hour to shower and change before your flight home and they'll give you pool towels too for your last day.

We didn't book a late check-out through First Choice before we left because they were charging £35 for a couple of extra hours...needless to say they didn't mention the courtesy room either!

All in all a great holiday and definitely great value for money.

After reading other peoples comments I feel I have to add my comments. My family and I have been coming to this resort for the past 12 years and have never found any reason to complain.

The staff are very helpful and eager to please. If people do not like the entertainment on the resort they are in easy walking distance to local tavernas which provide beautiful food and good company.

To conclude I would like to recommend this resort to family and friends!

We arrived in the hotel late at night,

Finally got our room sorted which wasn't too bad.

In the morning we had a pleasant surprise with the breakfast well organised and cooked to a good standard.

In the hotel there wasn't much to do so we decided to walk into latchi (big mistake on the first day in the midday sun)

Once we reached latchi we sat in faros restaurant the serviced in here was very friendly and reasonably priced we then walked next door to latchi water sports centre,

This was the best move of our holiday after a week of boat hire jet skis parasailing and diving we were shattered I give latchi water sports centre five stars.

Definitely be back just for them.
