Acceptable but no way four star. The rooms had a brief "going over" every day.
Definitely not suitable if you can’t manage a hill, especially when the temperature is very hot. A solution should be found with regards to providing some form of transport at the bottom of the hill to the top, on a regular basis as all the facilities are at the top level.
Towels were disgusting and need replacing. We paid four star money but room a "studio" was definitely not four star.
Pools excellent, meals good, grounds pretty, but to explore you need transport.
All in all a good holiday.

Overall, the family (2 adults, 2 children) had a lovely holiday.
We stayed in a 1 bed roomed apartment with a fabulous sea view. The apartment was spacious (except the bathroom which was very small) and very clean. With maid service daily and clean linen/towels twice a week.
The pool area was clean, the pools themselves were lovely, and the kids had a fabulous time playing in them. Beware though, the paving slabs surrounding the pool are absolutely lethal when wet.
We witnessed a number of people slipping, skidding, and falling over on them. Plenty of sunbeds available but have your towels out early to get a good spot! (No different from any other country there then!!). Lots of shade from trees and umbrellas available.
The animation team were all lovely. They made sure the kids had a really good time.
The evening entertainment was slightly painful at times (in fact most of the time) but as long as you can maintain your sense of humour and appreciate the efforts of the animation team, you will get through it! We walked into the village a few times to the local bars for a change of scenery which was nice.
The food. The was a plentiful supply of fresh salads which were always lovely. Hot meals were quite repetitive and a bit hit and miss. Overall, there was nearly always something that was edible.
There was always child friendly food available (i.e. chips and chicken nuggets) so that was less to worry about. Lots of fresh fruit and cold drinks.
The waterpark in Limassol was fantastic. Definitely worth the 1.5hr bus trip for the day.
We had a fab holiday and although we wouldn’t return here, that’s no reflection on the facilities or the staff.

We were sent to Elia Latchi after being let down by First Choice with their Kefalonia beach club disaster.
We arrived late in the evening to be told to go straight to the restaurant where there was a meal waiting for us.
The next morning the views from the restaurant took our breath away – beautiful!
The staff, mainly East European, where superb and always had a smile and nothing was too much effort.
The German entertainment team worked hard but was poor and by the second week we found an evening stole in to Latchi far more entertaining.
The local beach is very stony so we tended to stay near the pool which was again, superb.
Our room was clean and tidy and was cleaned every day and had an excellent view of the sea.
If you can climb the hill to the heart of the complex, I would recommend Elia Latchi for a great restful break. Just change the entertainment team!

The food was good but it was the same everyday.
The entertainment was terrible we didn't get any of the shows we were expecting. The workers were nice and got along with the kids well. It was fairly clean but it could of been cleaned more often.
After staying at the Elia Latchi Holiday Village I know for certain we will not be returning!

We went on the 14th October 2006 for a week and what a let down, Gym, Indoor Pool, Aphrodite Restaurant, one pool bar all "LOCKED AND CLOSED UP"........... Four Star?
Although advertising a "Full and varied weekly entertainment programme", none of the advertised things such as Cypriot Evening with folklore show, BBQ, Theme Nights, Fish Meze, Italian Night ever happened, all we had was the children of the guests singing for half an hour, which is hardly four star treatment............. Four Star ?
With one restaurant closed, the second one could not cope with all of the village arriving together, and this coupled with the fact that the first row of tables overlooking the sea flooded every time it rained made it even worse......... Four Star ?
All accommodation is quoted as having a sea view, well if you are in the lower floor of the blocks it certainly is not, as it is surrounded by a twelve foot high jungle, and when this was reported to the hotel staff, they replied "Well you could see the sea three years ago when it was planted". .....................Four Star ?
The studio had tiles missing in the bathroom and those that were there had been painted with a grey/blue paint that was peeling, the towels had dubious brown stains, and smelled musty, the shower curtain had black mould happily living on the bottom of it, and although it had a large double bed, the top sheet was a single that meant you had twelve inch gap each side from where it ended to where you should have been able to tuck it in.
Four Star ?
Good points:- The staff, which were nearly all East Europeans, could not have been nicer, and nothing was too much trouble and always with a smile.
The food:-Good and always something to eat that we liked.
The Elia Latchi Holiday Village is listed in the brochure and on the web as four star and four torches and even the Olympic rep and village staff stated it is a "Cat "A" self catering village that also does all inclusive" both stating to us, and others that we had been miss sold the holiday.
HARDLY FOUR STAR??
A visit to Elia Latchi is like going back to the Pontins of the 1970's Hi De Hi.

I booked this holiday after being let down by First Choice over the Kos Aqua Beach fiasco. Upon balance a good holiday but not fantastic. The good points were the food and service. Everything was spotless. Aphrodite Beach is fantastic for snorkeling but not for sandcastle building. We arrived after 10 pm to find that no food was available only sandwiches on white bread which my children did not eat.
The rooms were okay with a few minor defects such as broken shower heads and the mattresses were very hard. We were placed at the very front of the complex and were quite often woken by racing cars and noisy motor bikes at 4 am. August is a bad time to go to this place. The complex was swamped by the locals who reserved the already limited sun beds around the pool. Some locals even drove into the complex and used the facilities without actually staying (or paying) at the complex! The entertainment was dire for adults.
My children loved the songs and dances and joined in every night. But the German lead adult entertainment group had to be seen to be believed. They mimed to music and put on a comedy show where spitting water at each other was supposed to be funny! We did hire a car as staying on the complex full time would have driven me insane. Coral Beach is approx. 30 mins away but is worth it. The Aqua park at Paphos was excellent.
Cyprus is expensive however I wouldn't recommend going All Inclusive on this holiday. In my opinion it did not represent good value for money.

After reading some previous reviews I was nervous about my stay at the Elia, but there was no need for concern.
The staff are wonderful the food was good. The bar snacks were excellent. The entertainment was not the best but that was not a problem. The out door restaurant was fantastic. The apartments were excellent big and very clean with lots of cupboard space.
The Swimming pool was great for my daughters aged 5 and 10 they really enjoyed their holiday, if fact we all did so much we tried to extend our stay, again the Latchi were very helpful but we could not change our flights. The only downer was the beach it is shingle.

The place had some good points, especially if you have children - good outdoor areas etc, but it was looking a little tired in places.
The food was very poor. We originally wanted to stay self-catering but weren't given that option and had to stay half board. We ended eating out or cooking in our apartment rather than eating in the resort canteen where you couldn't even get fresh fish in an area famous for it - food ranged from average to chicken nuggets, chips etc.
Took most of our stay to get both rings on our cooker working. The area is great for walking, next time we'll stay in a villa.

9th time staying in Latchi and 2nd time at Elia Latchi - absolutely fab holiday. Wonderful resort, holiday village excellent and great all round holiday.
So much to do, we no longer hire a car and just stay in Elia Latchi. My 7 year old twins had the time of their life - a well deserved holiday break and we are definitely going back!
Even though weather is hotter, would prefer to go after June 1st because dining is in outdoor restaurant and more facilities after this time.

Overall a great holiday. Best bits were the friendly staff, quality of service, beautiful hotel gardens, the spacious traditional style rooms and fish/local dishes in the buffet.
We were disappointed that only one restaurant was open for drinks, meals and entertainment in the early season, but the AI package was definitely worth it, especially as we got a late deal!
The resort location was good if you like water sports, mountains, walking, history and a more relaxed approach to life, not so good if you only want karaoke, clubs and discos.
The nearest beaches are not the best for lazing on (quite pebbly, although very clean) but a few minutes drive away are some real gems.
Great for the more active kids, lots to do on site although the German based, evening entertainment was poor, at least in the early season.
One major issue for some will be the 50 meter steep hill on which the hotel is built. Not an issue for us, but those with heavy buggies, the elderly or mobility problems may not enjoy the climb!
We would definitely go again.

Just returned from 2 fabulous weeks at the Elia Village. We took the All Inclusive option which was excellent. The food was varied, plentiful and of a high standard enjoyed by all of us (4 adults, 2 children age 6 and 9). Restaurant & kitchen staff always attentive, friendly and chef always on hand to explain menu. Fish dishes especially good. The grounds are spacious and well maintained. Plenty to do around hotel if you want a quiet day. Both pools great as were all the outdoor facilities. Accommodation was excellent and was cleaned every day and towels changed as required. We had a one bedroom apartment with a lovely sea view.
Our 6 year old particularly enjoyed the children’s disco in the evenings.
We hired a jeep for 2 days. Well recommended. Great area for walking, bird watching and exploring. All in all a great holiday. We will be back.

The Elia Latchi site is absolutely stunning. With palm trees breathe taking views and plenty of pretty trees etc. around.
All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The animation team were excellent they include everyone and do plenty of games for children and teenagers.
The food was very good quality, by the end of our two weeks perhaps a little repetitive but that happens with all food, there was always something everyone enjoyed.
The cleaners came everyday. and made the beds and generally cleaned up a little.
There are three swimming pools one of which is indoor. In the larger pool there was always activities going on for people to join in., and in the smaller pool it was quiet and perfect for a relaxing swim.
The night time entertainment was good, sometimes a little dull but on such nights I recommend a walk up to the neighbouring village of polis which really comes alive at night. However on the whole a broad range of activities at night including: Quizzes, Local dancers, and night time water volleyball matches.
Elia Latchi is situated quite near Aphrodite’s rock. Polis and a 45minute drive to Pathos.
A brilliant holiday, Perfect for children.
