Poor quality hotel which located on a very busy city road. When you book it on-line, tour operator (Olympic Holidays) offers free 'upgrade' to a sea view room. Do not do it!
On our arrival we were given the sea view room as was promised, however it was pretty bad: balcony doors didn't lock, furniture and bathroom were very shabby, moreover the noise coming from the street was so loud that we had difficulty to hear each other. We asked to change our room as soon as we found out about this terrible noise, but were told that the hotel didn't have any other rooms available that night. Our first night we didn't have any sleep at all and next morning went to the reception desk again asking to change the room. That time we were more successful and were offered a room at the different part of the hotel.
In my opinion, Olympic should not offer these types of rooms pretending making a favour to the customers and "upgrading" their accommodation.

booked this hotel for 1 week from 30.06.10.stayed 2 nights.tried to stick it out but could not do it.food was fine.the rooms were a disaster.small cramped pokey and in great need of decoration.walls dirty and marked.carpet vile would not walk on it without shoes on.some staff friendly but some quite rude and could not be bothered.the dinning room swamped with cats.dont mind cats but not that many in all at once crawling around lying below tables and around your feet when trying to eat.quite of putting.dont expect to come home relaxed if you stay here. boy racers right outside on the main strip. They race up and down all night long.So dont expect to get any sleep.dont start your holiday of being disappointed from the minute you open your room door.some people say they loved this hotel i honestly dont no why.please if you read this review listen and dont waste your time of work and yoyr hard earned wage by throwing them away on this hotel.you deserve more for yourself.keep your money and find somewhere thats worth it and start your holiday right.we had to move and it cost us 250.00 each but i would have paid whatever it took to be away from the arsinoe.dont stay here there are plenty of hotels to choose from.please have another search it wont take long and find yourself something better.trust me i wish i had have.dont make the same mistake as me.get it right and enjoy your holiday.

Myself and partner have just arrived back from a great 11 nights staying at thr Arsinoe,The hotel is situated on the main strip so yes there is some road noise, but saying that most of the hotels are on this road so i guess they all have the same problem and this time of year the air con drowns out the noise.
The room we had was an ample size for 2 people it was clean and cleaned everyday with fresh towels apart from sundays.Only once one of the lifts broke down but there is others and always the stairs.
We stayed on a half board basis and the meals were good, breakfast was everything you would expect from freshly made pancakes made in front of you to bacon eggs ect.The evenening meal was just as good with loads of choice for everyone, the meals are all buffet style but at night you are seated first the you go and help yourself as much or little as you like.
There was entertainment in the bar at night but we didnt attend this so we couldnt comment.
There are two pool areas but sunbeds are in short supply.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Crossing the road via a zebra crossing there is the beach with path which you can walk for miles.
Dont expect limassol to be a small town, its not!its huge but jump on a bus outside the hotel and for a 2 euro day ticket you can use them all day getting off and on when you want.
Finally we booked through olympic holidays with which we had no problems except the tours were very expensive,we would recommend turning right outside the hotel, walking about 500m there is a small tour operator called ascot who do jeep safaris trips car hire ect they were fanastic and cheaper than olympic.
After all that we had a great holiday the hotel was you would expect from a 3 star and very nice. If you want 5 stars pay for it!

we have just had the most wonderful holiday in cyprus staying in the arsinoe beach hotel. it is just across the road from the beach which is a lovley beach.the hotel was great. entertainment all day and night. the food was to die for. choices too many to chose from. the rooms were a little old fashion but clean and comfortable. the staff were nice, helpful and friendly.my husband was really taken with cyprus itself and we will be going back. car hire was also very good it cost us 84euros for three days and we saw what we wanted of the island in those days. recommend the hotel and car hire.local bus into town 1.50 euros well worth the ride. all the shops you need even (kfc and mcdonalds)
weather was very hot need plenty sun cream buy it there just as cheap.

Ok well came to write this so no one else suffers this place.
Let me start by saying my mum is in a wheelchair and i had a 2yr old with us. First off they put us on the top floor which would not have been a problem if the lifts worked! There are 3 lifts and they are out of order 3-5 times a day for approx 15min upto the next day. We got trapped a couple of times as we cant take the wheelchair and bugy down 6 flights of stairs ending up staying room bound. One of the lifts is that bad it has warnings saying no more then 2 people with a phone in it secured with bathroom sealant for when it breaks!
The room i was in had a huge hole in the balcony that my 2yr old could have gone through no problem which meant we had to keep the door closed all the time and use the air con which again would have been ok if A) It worked B) was actuly cold.
Next we have the main pool which in fairness was very good and clean, above is the baby pool which again is clean but avioded as there is a approx 15 foot drop onto rocks due to there being missing guard rails. Also found a hacksaw lying just behined the rails still well within arms reach. They cleaned the pool at approx 9am with a Pump that i assume is older then me, a small girl touched it and ended up going to hospital (shes fine now).
Each room has key cards ours broke 3 times meaning 2 trips to reception via the stairs as the lifts were broke at that time.
The food was ok some days other times it was slop...all our food was free and more then once i took the family out to aviod it.
Lastly the road noise...oh my single glazing on a dual carrige way...you kind of get used to the normal traffic flow but wait for 1am when the boy racers come out we got woken up about 11 out of the 14 nights with the racket of wheel spin and exhausts. The carrige way must be in excess of a 5 mile streight road which is a perfect drag strip for the racers! All in all this hotel would have nice 10 years ago but now in my eyes its tired and does not cater for disabilitys and small children, was happy to get home would not stay there again even for free!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks at the Arsinoe Beach. I have read the other reviews carefully before posting mine & agree with the reviewer who pointed out that some are paying 3 star prices yet expecting 5 star accomodation. We have just booked a return visit for later in the year! -
On arriving at the Arsinoe I too felt that the place was a little too dimly lit,(altho as time went on I was grateful for this after the bright light & heat outside!) - but we received an enthusiastic & humourous welcome from George & Co who remembered my family from a couple of years ago. We had a room at the rear/side of the hotel which was perfectly clean (altho yes, the rooms are in need of an update stylewise) & the cleaning staff were extremely diligent in their daily rounds ith clean good quality towels daily. The air conditioning WAS poor tho. It does need attention. I mentioned this to reception & was told that it was due to be looked at with a view to improving. - The food was lovely, with a good choice catering for meat/fish/vegetarian eaters alike. We were half board & had our lunch onsite most days at the pool bar - where again the food was excellent, plentiful & no request was ever a problem...
The pool & surrounding area was always clean with floors, sunbeds, chairs etc being thoroughly cleaned at 7am every morning by team of cleaning staff. The Staff at the Arsinoe are exceptional! George, Yiannis & co are a cracking team, always friendly, helpful and full of fun. Nothing is too much trouble & they are always ready for a laugh.
The hotel has a lovely fine jewellers in the lobby whose staff are lovely & can order pieces in specially for you on request. There is also a costume jewellery shop which stocks lovely reasonably priced pretty things & I spent a considerable sum at both lol. On the subject of shopping - Limassol itself is great. Shoes, handbags galore & if you are a shopper like me you will have great fun! Some have said that the hotel location is too far out, for me it was fine, a short busride takes you into the town or if you dont fancy that there are plenty of airconditioned taxis with friendly drivers for 10euros or so who will drop you and you shopping haul to the door!
I would like to see more in the way of evening entertainment at the hotel on a future visit as some nights there was nothing much happening (in contrast to previous years when there was far more going on) - when there was entertainment it was good fun. I can see that for a party of youngsters tho looking for clubbing etc it may be too quiet as there is not much nightlife within walking distance.
At the Hotel - It was also wonderful to see as we are a family of animal lovers that the local cats are cared for & given veterinary attention by various members of the Hotel staff. The cats presence was an added bonus especially as one had small kittens. Just to prove how nothing is too much trouble for the staff we were concerned while by the pool that one of the kittens was stuck iside a drainage pipe-(yes i know, lol)-that went out to a dry drain in the road as the mothercat was sitting crying by it & a kitten was missing... Dear Yiannis, bless his heart- got a torch & lifted the draincover in the road so I could peer down & find the errant kitty & return him to his mum! The hotel itself may not have a 5star rating but the service from its STAFF has 5STARS as far as I am concerned and that to me is far far more important than a snazzy room when I only use it to get washed/changed & sleep in!!!! - Great Value for money! Love it!

Hotel was clean and facilities were reasonable - but - food was DIRE. Soup in evening was totally tasteless and the carvery was more like a 'Hackery' Plates were cold and on two occasions, advertised dishes were non-existent.

we have just got back from a 2 week holiday in the arsinoe beach hotel in .limassol cyprus. we asked for a sea view room which we got when we arrived ,we were made to feel very welcome we went to our room to unpack we looked out from the balcony and there was a dual carageway in front of us, it was very busy with boyracers screaming up and down the road i thought we had gone to santa pod race track and not cyprus. we then went down to the restaurant for our evening meal and it was very nice.the waiters and staff made us welcome and couldnt do enough to help, after our meal we went in search of a pub which we found on the main road. to the left of our hotel it was called georges pub, again we were made very welcome.we went there most dinner times for coffee and evenings for alcohlic drinks .we got to know the owner and his staff very quickly and started to make new friends. one lady called linda who stays out there for a month at a time advised me to use the main supermarkets to buy our cigs as i was sold some countrefiet cigs in a shop. we also met another couple in the pub called lyn and mike again they stay in cyprus all through october, you cant miss mike he is the one in the most colourful shirts and trousers you can imagine,he again is most helpfull and will make you very welcome. do be wary about getting a seaview room as i said earlier about the road noise, there is also a night club at the front of the hotel they open at 1 00 am and close at 5 oo am, that was very noisy but as we found out two days before we left, the hotel would have changed our room if we had asked them to.our mistake hopefully not yours.if you like fish&chips you will find a chippie to the right of the hotel called fry days can reccomend haddock&chips.if you go over the main road and go about 100 yds you come to the beach it is a bit shaily but the water is lovely and warm for a swim.on the beach you can hire sunbeds, brollies, theres jet skis, and a whole range of other rides.on the same side of the road you can catch a number 30 bus into old town limassol, its only 1.50 euros. in the old town there is a long street filled with gift shops and other shops.a must to go visit is the old castle it is now a museum. if your as lucky as we were you will see a little old lady in a small room sewing away on one of the old tredle sewing machines.as you may have noticed we didnt travel around the island as we had planned, but when i saw how mad they drove we decided not to hire a car but to just relax and enjoy the 30 plus temperature during the day.another mistake we made was to take clothes that we would wear on an evening in spain in october ie jeans and fleeces dont need them its still in 20s

This is the worst hotel i have ever been to in my whole entire life. It was our first night of the 2 dreadful weeks there and already we were complaining because machines never worked and the guy refused to give us money back and never even put an dout of order sign on things. The food was ok but if your planning on dining there then be somebody who will eat anything. Some nights there were carverys which to be honest were lovely but thats the only thing. The rooms were small and cramped with noisy air conditioning that hardly gave out any air! Also the gym and spa facilties were never on and if they were they were rather dirty. Pool was nice but not for young kids who aren't strong swimmers as it was deep all round but there also was a babypool but not for bigger kids. Normally you would go places where it'd be crwling with beasties but we only found one newt/lizard and this HUGE plying cockroach with a big antennas. The full hotel was not air conditioned and was like an oven. The hotel in particular is quite farout and not really near anything other than tiny little stores and pubs and to go treking down to the town would be some journey and you'd get soaking with sweat. Also at the hotel everything was far to deer it costs about 10 euros for 4 colas and 5 euros for one tiny toastie. My stay at the arinsoe beach hotel was unenjoyable and i highly dont recommend you go there!
- Advice: Dont go here waste of time and money as it is far too expensive!

We have just returned from this hotel after a week. We have stayed there before and very pleased. This time however we found the hotel looking very tierd in places , some of the reception staff definately had an attitude, the food was ok but lacked taste, our room was badley in need of a makeover the evening entertainment was marred by large tv screens normally showing football. Altogether even though it is rated 3 star this is sadley slipping away and we would not stay there again. christine East Sussex.

Just back after spending two weeks at the Arsinoe Hotel.Arriving 11pm, no sleep first night with noise from road. Paid extra for sea view room, road very busy day & night, not my idea of a holiday destination. Hotels on beach side of road would have been much better. Thought beach in tourist area of limassol was not very clean, cigarette butts everywhere, sunbeds dirty, lack of entertainment in pubs & bars just football football& more football or kareoke boring!! Went to larnaca & Ayia napa much nicer place, beach cleaned there!and pleasently surprised at cleanliness of Ayia napa. Troodos mountains trip a must. Book with ascot turn right outside hotel much cheaper than hotel. Chinese left of hotel very expensive for nothing special.Back to hotel, food not very good and never hot!, dining room floor not clean & presentation of food bad, lack of fruit & not an ice cream in sight, & cats everywhere. Entrance to hotel is nice as is reception area, but once you get past there it all falls apart. A lift that only takes 2 people at a time is ridiculous. Furniture in room needs throwing out as does the bedspread which I think was red with a shade of black.
Needless to say we will not be going back! I would not recomend this hotel to anyone.
