Corbyn Head Hotel

Myself, daughter and mother and farther stayed here for 4 days last November. We enjoyed it so much we booked to come back this July for 2 wks, ok its expensive, but you only get what you pay for. The food was excellent, the service was exceptional and the overall day to day running of the hotel was great. Our rooms were cleaned to a very high standard every morning. All staff were friendly and went out of their way to make you feel at home and to get to know you..we even had a free bottle of wine given to us from one of the waiters... more

My partner and I were greeted by reception staff who obviuosly knew her role and when we asked for a table in the restaurant (it was 2050), it was no problem. Within minutes we were greeted by the maitre'd and taken to our table where we enjoyed a superb meal, well presented and served by unobtrusive and personable staff. Our compliments to the waiting staff, reception and the chefs for an experience worth repeating. We will return when we next visit Torquay.

I just wanted to share with any interested parties my review of a fantastic hotel that my girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at the other weekend. The combination of comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms coupled with exceptional service make for a great break. To really top it off, the food in both restaurants was superb. My family and I stayed here for two nights back in August. We all hated it. We did not like the rooms. I hated the fact that there were spiders all over the bathroom window, and I have a huge phobia against spiders. So, I did not shower at all, just in case. The beds were gross, and there were black marks on the sheets, and I noticed they were still there the next day, obviously the sheets weren't changed. We have just stayed at the Corbyn Head Hotel as we recently got engaged and the setting was perfect! We had a room with a balcony which was both large and very clean. The staff were so friendly, and couldn't do enough for you. They knew it was a special weekend for us and made us feel like we were the only people staying there. The accomodation is dated although clean & tidy. The bar is severly over priced & parking is a problem if you go out late on a Saturday as is a fave' haunt for coffin dodgers .. The only positive is the breakfast that should be included in the package, is ok. Would recommend just going down to Torquay without a plan & lucking it out on the vast amount of more reasonably priced accomodation available closer to town.

We have just returned from the Corbyn Head Hotel,Torquay. A beautiful hotel set on sea front with excellent views. We had kindness shown to us through out our stay by all members of staff. The service and food were excellent and all the staff courteous. We look forward to returning A.S.A.P

My wife and I recentlystayed at the Corbyn Bay Hotel, Torquay. We had a most enjoyable time. The food was out of this world and the service, from the time we arrived at reception to when we left, was of the highest quality. Staff were excellently turned out and were extremely helpful at all times. While we never saw the back-room boys, such as the chef and all his helpers, we were aware of their presence by the quality of the food as well as the cleanliness of the tables, china and cutlery. Found this hotel by chance as we had not pre-booked any accommodation in Torquay and just saw the Corbyn head Hotel as we drove past, our intention was just to have one night in the area and travel on into Cornwall. We have just returned from a two week stay at the Corbyn Head hotel in Torquay. There are superb views of Torbay from the bedrooms, from the restaurant, and from the hotel lounge. The food was excellent, and the service was first class. There is an outdoor swimming pool which is ideal for a swim before breakfast or before the evening meal.
