Green Lawns

We have just returned from a stay at the Green Lawns Hotel Falmouth. The location of the hotel was good, being just a ten minute walk into the centre of Falmouth. The hotel decor was dated and parts of the hotel smelt musky. The bedroom was okay, but the bed was very hard - great if you have back problems! We only had one evening meal in the hotel as we felt it was extremely overpriced for what it was - £15 for a roast beef main course which was pub standard. We have just returned from a 2 night stay and can thoroughly recommend the experience. The food is superb and the service excellent. What more can you ask for? Get booking!!!

We had three nights at this Hotel and really could not fault it, except to say that we felt the decorations in the lounge were too heavy and old-fashioned. However, the Hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and appeared to genuinely want to be of service. We ordered tea to be brought to our seats in the garden one afternoon, and it came speedily and with very good grace. Nice comfortable lounge area to sit and read or doze after a meal! Food was excellent but the disappointment was the bedroom which was tired and in need of up dating and decorating. Parking can be a problem if arriving when an event is being held or a coach in.

My boyfriend and I recently went on a long weekend break to Green Lawns hotel, Falmouth. We enjoyed it very much. The staff were very pleasant and the food was brilliant. I managed to get a Winter deal- £50 pppn including breakfast and dinner. There was a swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The pool was a little on the small side but it was fine for all we wanted. The rooms were clean too. However our double bed was 2 single beds put together. Overall our stay was very enjoyable and we would definately consider going back there soon.

We have stayed at Green lawns on both business and pleasure for many years now and it is always a pleasure to do so. The staff are fantastic, every one of them, very polite and welcoming. Rooms are always good, we have stayed in probably most types they offer and no complaints at all. The cooked breakfast is fantastic, made to order, always hot and excellent quality, topped off by brilliant service. We would never consider staying at another hotel in Cornwall, even if what we are planning is not always around Falmouth.

We stayed at The Green Lawns Hotel for an anniversary treat. The service is exceptional and the five course dinner was very nice. The hotel is close to the seafront and beaches and Falmouth Town is only minutes away by car. this is a three star hotel with four star service. It would definately be a four star hotel if it was refurbished our bedroom was lovely but (tired) looking and so were other parts of the hotel.

This was the third time I time I stayed at The Green Lawns. I was pulled back again by their outstanding service and truely wonderful food. Every meal I wanted to try at least 3 of the 6 or so choices. The service is excellent and nothing is to much trouble. The only problem is that anywhere could not possibly be as good. Compared to all the other places I have stayed, and that adds up to a lot, it is heaven.

We stayed at the Green Lawns because a friend's wedding reception was being held here. We spent one night in their standard room, and one in a superior room, which cost about £40 per person extra. Whilst there is nothing particularly bad about the place, there were various little issues: the bathroom smelled of mildew when you turned on the shower in both rooms, the bed was cheap and uncomfortable, the "jacuzzi" we were promised in our superior room was in fact just a spa bath, the "gym" was a running machine in a cupboard, the room doors... more

I have stayed at the Green Lawns on 4 seperate occassion. All rooms are big and very clean. The outstanding feature of the hotel is the restaurant which provides a truely excellent 5 course menu which changes every night. The service is superb and adds to the enjoyment of the stay. My only concern would be that the public rooms (apart from the restaurant) are a little tired and in need of redecorating.
