Great hotel
Hotel situated 15 mins walk from town centre in quiet location - oposite the Police Station. Room was spotless, and cleaned every day, but bathroom needed updating - had a few problems with the shower. Excellent buffet breakfast, loads of choice and very friendly and helpful staff. A la Carte restaurent, but we chose not to eat there. Found some lovely places to eat about 5 mins walk from the hotel in Kensington Road. Would definitely stay here again.
excellent staff
Staff were always friendly and helpful.Excellent breakfast.Rooms were a bit dated and windows could not be opened when it was warm but the rooms were clean. The a la carte restaurant was very good. Located ten to fifteen minutes walk to the bus station. Excellent Indian restaurant and Italian ,little more than a five minute stroll. Only drawback was a wedding party on Saturday night where children were left unsupervised ,outside the function room,to run round playing and screaming until 12.30 a.m. If you get lost... more
So Nice Savoy
Just arrived back today. Hotel superb, position good with about 10 mins walk to St Helier centre.Staff excellent considering the hours they worked. We booked a table for an evening meal and were very pleasantly suprised, worth giving it a try.If you fancy Indian or Chinese even Italian then you are 5 mins walk away.Police Station/Ambulance and Fire Station across the road so if you get lost ask for any one of them. If you have booked or thinking about it I'm sure you wont be disappointed.
3 Girlies had a fab time.
This hotel is peaceful (maybe being opposite the Police station had something to do with it!), very comfortable and clean. It is 2 minutes drive to the town centre, but remember to get your parking tickets to use in the car parks or you WILL get a parking fine. If you go the the car park at Minden Place you can park for 3 hours and there is a shop across the road that sells them. The breakfast choice was great, full continental to english traditional breakfast. You can have what you want to suit your appetite. One of our party is in a... more
OK
Reception staff very friendly. Breakfast good but suggest eating out in the evening.Seems to appeal to elderly persons. Bar area is a smokers paradise! Rooms clean. Hotel is fraying at the edges. Looking tired and of need of up dating.Maybe they are keeping it this way to encourage the elderly that are regular visitors.
Family Stay
We stayed in this hotel in a Family Room with our two children. The staff were nothing but helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The hotel itself is a bit past its sell by date and could certainly do with some updating. It seems that the owners are doing this. The food was plentiful - if basic, but again they were very happy to accomodate the children.
fair for the money
We stayed at this hotel last year in aug 03. Good location and easy parking. We had a noisy room beside the small outside pool. The hotel in a bit out dated and it could do with a little updating. Breakfast was ok but we had problems with the non-national waiter, he was scruffy and rude (maybe he didn't understand our english). We did write and complain about our problems (too much to go into) and this hotel did not even reply to our letter. It's a fair hotel for the money but sadly the staff could have been a bit more helpfull. We won't be... more
A good choice for all
July 20th 2004. My wife and I have just returned from spending a week at the Hotel Savoy on a half board basis. Part of the deal included the provision of a hire car, the only charge for this was the insurance and petrol. The hotel was very clean and tidy, with a welcoming reception area. The rooms were basic but adequate and were serviced daily, plenty of hot water was always available, so showers were enjoyable. Carpeting was laid on all stairs and corridors, which reduced the amount of noisey footsteps passing, if you went... more
Brilliant staff
This hotel is absolutely brilliant. We went at the start of summer last year, and we were not disappointed! Our rooms were lovely and were cleaned everyday from top to toe! The food was excellent, and we really did enjoy ourselves as the waiters were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel staff are just absolutely brilliant and are so funny. We got to know several, including a boy over from ireland for the summer, it was an excellent week, and i would love to come back next summer!
great hotel & location
Great hotel with reasonable size pool. Local shops / attractions within easy reach. Good food suitable for families and couples. Very clean and staff happy to help.
