Stayed here after visiting another Inverness Hotel because they couldnt accommodate us for our third night. I have to say that as far as Country House Hotels go this is far from anyones ideal. OK it looks good but our accommodations were very poor, as was the cleanliness, and we even looked at another couple of rooms before picking the best of a bad bunch. Food is average, not like the other hotel which has the same 2 rosette rating, breakfast very poor.

We went to this hotel expecting something extra special. Fair enough the staff were friendly and accommodating. But...................................The food is nothing to get your hopes up about. The evening meal was over cooked and drowned in sauce. The breakfast was greasy and cold by the time it arrived. Poor quality orange juice is something you should never excuse, as its so cheap to buy!!! The rooms were very disappointing. My intended and I stayed here early April 05. We have been searching for a venue for our wedding, planned for December this year. My initial dealings with Bunchrew were all by email, and even then, I sensed something special. We arrived to be greeted by a most unassuming but yet especially welcoming "feeling" at Bunchrew. I booked this hotel as everything else was fully booked in the area (Easter). Now I must say, the people that gave this hotel 5 stars haven't stayed in many so called luxury hotels; either that or they had forgotten to take their medication during their stay at this particular hotel. We married at Bunchrew at the start of March this year and had an absolutely wonderful time. Of course it has a lot of weddings due to the wonderful location, wonderful staff and the beauty of the house! However, despite having weddings almost every weekend, Bunchrew managed to make us feel absolutely unique and special. Stayed here last year, what a mistake. Over rated, over priced, the only good thing about it was the location, save your money and look for something better, its worth shopping about as this place is just a wedding factory, if you are planning staying just ask them how many weddings they have booked for the year, over 50 when we asked.

We stayed at Bunchrew House for a night on our way up to Lewis in July 2004 as an early wedding anniversary treat. It was fantastic, the staff are charming and so helpful. The room we had originally booked turned out to be unavailable when we had arrived, which wasn't a big problem, the replacement room was lovely and the hotel left a lovely selection of treats in the room to make up for it. Like a previous reviewer, we too honeymooned at Bunchrew in 1994 - although we didn't marry there! In the 10 years that have passed, we still look back on it as one of the most wonderful experiences of our lives. There was just nothing to fault. We had an incredible wedding at Bunchrew in May 2004. Wondeful staff, stunning setting and they couldn't do enough for us. The food was lovely and I really enjoyed the breakfast, as did all my guests. The best place in the Highlands to marry and really reasonable in terms of cost. If you want to impress, this is the place!
