Peach and Quiet

We stayed at Peach and Quiet as an overnight as we going to and from St Vincent for a week of sailing. It is convenient to the airport, in a great location right by the ocean and Margeret and her husband and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They even got up to make sure the 5 am Taxi they booked for us showed up (it did). To my mind, that's service above and beyond. The rooms were spacious and clean. We arrived very late and they had left a cooler of sandwiches for us, knowing how generous the airlines are these days.... more

Our 4th and 5th stays are already booked! I'm so sorry I didn't submit a review sooner. It IS a small hotel, open for about half of each year, and I suppose I didn't want to encourage competition for one of the 22 rooms...sorry, Margaret and Adrian...you deserved more from my husband and myself! Considering that we formerly lived in the Caribbean (Puerto Rico), it's saying something that I'm not sure I've ever seen the colors of the sea look as lovely as from P&Q...something about the positioning of the property. We stayed in a few different places in Barbados, and this was definitely our favorite. The property is landscaped beautifully, and the pool is in a perfect location right by the ocean. So great to watch the surfers from the edge of the pool! It was really lovely to walk along the rocky coastline to beautiful deserted white sand beaches 15 minutes in either direction. You could spend hours watching the waves crashing over the tidal pools on the way to the beaches. The food was completely amazing, and very reasonably priced. But if you feel... more

A "loverly" experience! I won't repeat all the other reviewers, just want to confirm it! Adrian and Margaret were delightful!!! Even our cab driver raved about them and how hard they work. The Flying Fish sandwiches at lunch were great! PS--No problems with mosquitoes.

What a great place.This was our 4th time in Barbados and we did not want to stay in mega resorts or hotels. The location is a rocky, windswept area,where the kite surfers and surfers keep you entertained. The accomodations are fine, the food excellent, and the staff more than helpful. Not for those seeking night life,but perfect place to chill out and relax.

My wife and I just returned from an absolutely terrific trip to Peach & Quiet. It met every expectation we had after reading reviews in TripAdvisor, and it went a good deal beyond our hopes in some cases – the situation immediately on the ocean is spectacular, the atmosphere is superbly quiet, and the hosts, Margaret & Adrian, and staff are friendly and forthcoming, and seemed quite dedicated to making our stay as pleasant as possible. this small hotel is a gem.........and don't be thrown off by the fact that it is in a remote locations.......far from the maddening crowds, but just a van ride away from The Gap, Bridgetown, etc. The food is superb, as is the chef, and all the staff are helpful, friendly, and gracious. I have been there twice (06 and 07) and now have booked 3 weeks for 08..... The rooms are immaculate, and I never even missed the A/C, and no TV means more mingling with the others .... We stayed here for 5 nights and absolutely loved it! It's very hard to leave the Peach and Quiet as it's got its own restaurant with a different menu every day of the year! It's owned, managed and operated by an English couple which gives it a very personal, laid back feeling - no rules what so ever (pool's at your disposal all night long, bar with a 'self service' concept) Very romantic, cozy, quiet - even has it's own turtle viewing platform. Sorry if it gets tiresome reading all these glowing reviews on P&Q but here is yet another.......... My husband and I stayed for 17 nights in March and had a lovely holiday. The hotel is exactly as described, somewhat rustic and low key but very relaxing. The breakfasts were among the best I have ever had anywhere, at least 6 types of fresh fruit every morning, juices, cereals, yogurts aplenty, freshy baked bread and muffins every day AND lots of hot food - eggs, crispy bacon, potatoes, beans, sausages etc. The coffee was suoerb and... more

We have stayed at Peach and Quiet three times now and each visit has been wonderful. We've always stayed in an ocean view room and have always found them very comfortable. We especially enjoy lazing by the pool and the wonderful meals served at the hotel's al fresco restaurant. Margaret and Adrian have always been terrific hosts and have made us very welcome over the years. We will continue to return to this wonderful oasis of relaxation and hospitality
