We have just returned from a week at the Voranova...must say it was a lot better than we expected after reading the reviews. We had a 2nd floor, pool facing room and stayed B&B. Its a 15 Min walk from palma nova beach, and the shops. There is a LIDL supermarket a short walk... more

We booked our holiday on the Sunday night at 10pm for 7am the next morning on a spur. We didnt really have time to read the reviews or we would never have gone. When we arrived at the hotel, the reception was grand, with modern leather sofas around. We were greeted by a... more

We stayed at this hotel with our two kids aged 10 and 7. The entrance to the Hotel is nice and it did not take long to get our Key Card to our room. We booked with Hays Travel, for an All Inclusive Package and paid extra for a Superior Room. The room was pleasant, and... more

I am stunned to find so many reasonable reviews of this hotel reciently. We got back yesterday from the worst weeks holiday ever. There were sockets covers off the wall, we had to move after a few nights due to there being hundreds of ants in our room even though we were... more

We booked a four night break here for October half term through Teletext. I hadn't had the opportunity to view the hotel as the booking was done over the phone and very last minute. I checked it out on the web after and my heart sank at some of the reviews, but we thought,... more

No Sleep!
If you want a good nights sleep dont stay here!!! We went with our three year old and it was party heaven, definately not for families. Hotel itself was basic but had all that you needed. Ideal for hen/stag parties but nothing else. Security staff were worse than useless and we had to put up with noise til 7am. If I could sum this up in three words it would be noise, noise and more noise!!!! Dont chance it!
New Hotel Voranova next 2008
I was in may in Voranova and I have to say that the hotel is very nice. For the next year the Grupo Bali will be the Company which will run the Hotel Voranova from the 1st of January' 08. I was in Grupo Bali hotels in Benidorm and I love it.
The worst
I have to say this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. When we finally got checked into our room we realised that the bed was just two singles pushed together, there was no toaster or Jug (which you assume would be included in a kitchenette), the TV was broken, the remote missing. I tryed call reception to inform them but no luck as the telephone wasnt working! They told us we would be moved to a pool view room in the morning. To cut a long story short we didnt get moved as the manager said the rooms were full. The attitude of the... more
What a Belter, Borat was there too
The hotel itself is ok. the flippin door keys are very dodgy. I dont know how many times I had to go to reception to have them re-coded. Whatever you do, dont swallow your safe key the 1st night that you are there as it is very easy to get from one room to the next via the balconies. I didnt mind the disabled and old people, There was a bar next to the pool which served nice toasties and beer. The one thing which worried me was the horse that kept appearing around the complex. Its responds to the name "miss rhythm" so beware.
DO NOT GO THERE
This aparthotel is the only one on Majorca that caters for disabled people, which we were not informed of when we booked. We had booked self catering but the room had no toaster, kettle, remote control, the beds were the worst i have ever laid my head. Do not accept room 308 as it is opposite the maids stores and they shout rather loudly at 6.30am every morning. The reception staff were quite rude on occasions. The pool bar did not serve people after 8.00pm or serve snacks during the day. Lots of literature in... more
Robbery Central
When we arrived the hotel itself was lovely, massive heated outdoor pool with kids area and small indoor heated pool with sauna as well, but we had a ground floor apartment looking out the back and we got burgled on our 3rd night there along with 2 other apartments one which was next door but one and the one above ours on the 1 st floor and have now found out since that this is a common occurance for this hotel, we were moved to the 3rd floor overlooking the pool and it was so much better, no rumbling from the air conditioning and bleeping... more
retirement home
Just got back from the voranova after spending 4 nights there, with my husband and 16 month old son. Nothing against the elderly or disabled, but this hotel seemed to cater for them only. Nothing for families with children and the place was in need of updating.Oh there was one group of under sixties, they managed to keep everybody up for three nights with their drunken sing songs. Our key didnt work properly, so wasnt much fun going all the way back to reception everynight to get it sorted after a long day out with a tired baby. We booked... more
Not the best
When we checked in this is what we found: -the room was full of stale cigarette smoke -the dishes and cutlery had been but back filthy -the coffee table had a piece of chewing gum stuck to the top of it in full view -the terrace had food left on The place was heavily dated and in desperate need of a refurbishment. Would not go back if you paid me. Oh and the place is full of chav's
Well placed for both sides of Mallorca
We booked last minute deal for the first two weeks of August. Palma Nova is only half an hour from Palma airport which meant we were first stop for the tour operator's coach. The room was large and clean, albeit the kitchen facilities were quite limited. We had a balcony that faced out to the front rather than the pool, the view wasn't brilliant but it did mean that we were away from the noise of the entertainment in the central pool area. All the staff we met were pleasant and most spoke very good English. The other guests... more
Great hotel for a short break
Eight of us (all around 24 years old) stayed at this hotel on a Hen Party for 5 nights at the end of July. Although we enjoy a good late night out we do also enjoy peace and quiet when we finally hit the sack and this was the perfect place. Locations was great, only a short stroll to the centre of Palma Nova where there was a good selection of bars and restaurants and a lovely clean sandy beach and only a short taxi ride away (around 5 Euros) to Magaluf. This hotel was pleasantly surprising as we booked it through the internet for... more
