went here is july this year, it was a shambles. Pool was dirty, had bugs and cigarette butts floating in it. I went with a group of 8 lads, the hotel was full of older boys and no girls. The photos lie and are not a fair representation. I'd advice you not to come here, holiday from hell.

The hotel is what you expect from greece, at the end of the day its a place to rest your head and its not a bad place to do just that, yes it can get noisy in the summer with all the 18-30's but if you dont like it then why book for one of the livlier parts of zante. myself... more

fantastic family who own the plaza from gamiseme
ive been staying at the plaza for a number of years now with my children, family & friends we find the staff friendly helpful in everything. the rooms are big and well furnished and very clean. the pool is also clean & well looked after all in all its a fantastic holiday and georges bbq & greek night is a must the hotel is 2 min walk to the beach with a supermarket across the road which sees everything you need and a five min walk to the main strip but yet set in quiet surroundings

this will be mine and my husbands 3rd time staying @ plaza 2 , what can i say, from the moment you step off the coach you are greeted with a freindly service from a welcoming family. the hotel its self is in an ideal location a few seconds from the beach , and a few minuites from the main strip. the rooms are very clean, and the food at the plaza is great, and superb value for money. the family that run this place , will do any thing for you, wich i personly think this makes your holiday better, knowing you feel like home... more

Zanteplaza Hotel is a combination of family and entertaining place. First of all is in frond of a lovely sandy beach and everything is so close. For the lover of clubbing Zanteplaza is next to the most famous clubs in Lagana in the island of Zante. We arrived at the Plaza Apartments and the room was not ready. We waited at least 30 mins and then got shown our room. I could not believe what I was shown to. The room was supposedly cleaned (but it wasn't). The shower was broken and held together with 2 hair bands, live wires sticking out of the shower wall. The room was absolutely filthy. The fan had about 6 inches of dust on it (yes - no joke!!). The sheets on the beds were damp and I think things were crawling in them!! I have stayed all over Greece and know what to expect from a self catering apartment, but this one was the pits, everything stated on their website is a lie! Not ideal for couples or familys (kept awake by 18 - 30's from midnight to 6am) there was no TV, telephone or fully equipped kitchen, well 2 rings and a travel kettle that took 10 mins to boil! We stayed at the Plaza II for the 2nd year running. 21 of us this year on Football tour. The Apartments are basic, but for a lads holiday it's all you really need. The Apartment was clean and the maid's pop around every other day. Unfortunately on the 1st day one of our beds had a wet patch. They were really rushed to get the rooms cleaned in time for our arrival. Which ended up in us waiting for an hour for our rooms to be ready. Our fridge had a broken door, but if you were careful opening and closing it, you were ok.... more

Just home from Zakynthos and never again. Stayed in Plaza II Apartments. Dingy, and bleak. Bedding was damp, sheets were old, patched, and grey. Towels were old and grey. No shower curtain in bathroom, no working fridge for three days, cooking facilities were a large ring and a small ring on a mobile based cooker, one frying pan, one stew pot, various knives and forks, no cooking utensils at all. When we complained to the rep he told us that the young people who come later in the season dont expect very much. Just as well... more

Went to Laganas for the first time last year with a friend. We wanted a girly holiday, with sunbathing, and lots of relaxing. We stayed at Plaza I. We arrived there mid afternoon, having travelled from home since approx 3AM that morning. We were tired when we arrived, but planned to dump our bags and head straight to the beach. Just arrived back after staying in this hotel for 2wks . This is a family run hotel run by George and his wife .Yes the rooms are basic but are spotless maid service every day .We had clean bedding / towels every other day . When we arrived we were greeted by george and were offered a free drink . Our bags were taken to our rooms while we had our drink . This accommodation was listed as 3* superior when it just about scrapes 2* in my opinion. The fact that there are no facilities to cater for oneself makes the description a contradiction in terms. For a family of four - two adults two children (13/10yrs) there was one old electric heating ring which had one setting - very hot. One frying pan (circa 1973) and a saucepan.
