Rovinj is a beautiful, tiny city on the Istrian Peninsula in northern Croatia. Its proximity to Italy gives the place a real Italian flavour, in the architecture, the people and the fabulous pizza! Much like Italy, there are rocky places all around the coast where you can go to swim and sunbathe and its blissfully peaceful.
Our hotel was modern, very comfortable and in a prime spot to watch the evening passegiata, after which we would wander off and choose a restaurant, of which there are many. They all serve delicious seafood and local specialities.
In our week there, we went cycling along the coast, hired a car and explored inland, and did some scuba diving. You could do more or less but this is a great place for a relaxing holiday.
