If you think that "cleanliness is next to Godliness" you will be in heaven at this hotel! In fact the management should be recruited to clean up one or two of the more dubious hotels that we have had the misfortune to stay in recently.Travelodge ( England ) take note! A last minute dash to escape the awful English summer found us here for a week at the end of August (2011) and what a treat. 5 star it is not, but, immaculately clean rooms as well as beatifully tended public spaces make this hotel worthy of mention. Buffet style food,we were on a half board basis,is not haute cuisine, but it is fresh, plentiful and beautifully presented.
All in all a real treat, especially as the weather was superb and there was always plenty of sunbeds to lounge on. Mr Dimitri can be relied upon to make sure that his guests are attended to quickly and efficiently. So, ignore the "moaning minny's" who criticise this hotel, just go and enjoy see for yourselves what this place has to offer. Enjoy.

We received a first class service from all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The meals were excellent with plenty of choice and were to a very high standard. The rooms were well laid out and very clean. We paid extra for a sea view and it was well worth it. The views were absolutely stunning. The pools, indoor and outdoor, were well maintained and the gardens and pool area were great. There were lots of sunbeds and umbrellas. We were fully inclusive and would recommend this option because the hotel was so relaxing we enjoyed just chilling out. There was a bus stop a short distance from the hotel with buses every 15/20 minutes to Paphos and Coral Bay.
We experienced the hotel when it was busy (a flight to Doncaster had been cancelled and the hotel unexpectedly catered for a large number of guests) and when it was quiet. The standards were the same whether it was busy or quiet. Good food, helpful staff and in the evening friendly bar staff and good entertainment.
We met a few people who return to the hotel year after year. One couple had been going since it opened 20 years ago and had never tired of it. We fully appreciate why people go there year after year.

Accomindation reasonable, pool area fair but the tiles on floor of pool missing in places. The main reason for this review is the quality of the food served, it was only just warm enough even if you went in for the breakfast or dinner when they started service, the food seemed to have been in the hot trays for sometime before opening time. The breakfast was repeated every other day and the evening meal contained partially cooked vegatibleT

Got back from Queens Bay Hotel Cyprus about 3 weeks ago. The Hotel is lovely. You have to go All Inclusive when you go here as it is well worth the money. We arrived at 12.15am and we were welcomed by a straight talking receptionist. Very quick and precise and we where in our room in minutes. They had layed some food on for us as we had missed our evening meal. The room was a good size and very plain walls. The bathroom was a good size with an adaquate shower that was always warm. The room was fully stocked with kettle and coffee and the room got cleaned every day and when i say cleaned it was spotless. Fresh water was also supplied every day in a Thermos flask. The hotel has a lovely reception with a bar and souvenier shop. There is also a nice veranda that you can sit out on at night and look over the Med.
Downstairs is the coffe shop with pool side bar and outdoor seating this is where you have breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is buffet. After 2 weeks the food at breakfast got a little samey. They alternated Bacon and Sausages and had different eggs most days.Food was always cooked well for breakfast.
The all inclusive drinks are all house spirits, cocktails plus KEO beer or wine. The lunch was ok. On sevearl occasions we where out for lunch but what we did see of it it was quite samey again. You could ask for a packed lunch if you where going out on an excursion. The lunch was served between 12.30 and 2.30 and after 3.00 you could then order food from the bar menu. The evening meal was in the restaurant. Again this was buffet but had a different wide selection everynight. The food on the whole at night was ok. (Don't have the Turkey) This was the only meal i found to be discusting. It was cooked let to cool then warmed up again. Not very tasty. The 2nd night we went for dinner they had no vegetarian options. My wife is a vegaterian so i went to the head waiter (Antonis) and asked. Every night they put on a vegaterian option but my wife dosent eat fish and thats the only option they had. So he simply went to the kitchen and asked for them to make my wife spaghetti (pasta and rice is always cooked to perfection) with a tomatoe and basil sauce. Nothing is ever to much trouble. The hotel has several cats and kittens. They are lovely but will pester for food. They do not bite or jump up. They are lovely. You could eat dinner inside but most ate outside. The evening entertainment was different every night. Kareoke on a monday Disco on a friday. Bingo Banga Bonga on a Sunday with a picture quiz. There is a duo act that appear on several occasions through the week called Take 2. Jim and Maria. They are fantastic and very nice to talk to. Both very talented singers. The evening bar is open till 12.00 but at 11.50 we just ordered a few rounds and stopped up till 2.00am. Aslong as you don't be rude or inconsiderate to the other guests the staff are not concerned. The three evening staff where old Peter young Peter and Ian. All three where fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. The veiws from the hotel where amazing it is well worth upgrading to a sea view. The day of departure you can either pay for the room to have it till 6pm (43euros) otherwise you can put your luggage in reception. All Inclusive is run through untill 2.30 on your day of departure. This hotel is child freindly but I would advise that you only take well behaved children there. The hotel is specifically designed for couples of any age. The pool was always clean and there was always spare loungers. (No reservation policy) Their was a small childs pool and an indoor pool. There is a washer and dryer and they worked well. There was a pool and snooker table reasonably priced. The daytime activities where French Bowls, Archery, Darts, Shuffle Board and the occasional violent game of Water Basketball. Prizes where included to the winners. The man incharge of the events and games was hilerious. The hotel has its own little secluded beach and lagoon. Very nice to go and relax at, or even take an evening walk down to. You can always have a laugh with him. The hotel is positioned approximatly 4km south of coral bay and 8km north of paphos. So not the easiest to walk but I either recommend getting car hire (cheaper if you book from uk) for a week. If you don't drive then a quick 3minute walk to the main road and you can catch a bus (10 or 15) to paphos or coral bay and it is only 1 euro each no matter how many stops you are going. All in all this hotel is a good, clean and freindly hotel. A very high 3* or even a 4*. Very happy. Would definatly return to this hotel. Thankyou Queens Bay Hotel for a lovely stay.

We came home from this hotel earlier than expected because we could not stand it any longer. The hotel is very clean with basic rooms and excellent cleaning service. The grounds and swimming pool whilst small are well maintained and clean. The rooms need refurbishing and are very tired. The enamel was worn out on the bath and this meant it constantly looked dirty. Don't expect a full pressure shower during peak times. In my room the water often disappeared completely... All round the hotel are signs posted for guests telling them what not to do, for example, "Dear Guest please dry before entering the coffee shop" etc. These signs have greater prominence than the dinner menus or information about the hotel and you feel nagged..There is a lovely very tiny bay next to the hotel. The public footpath for the bay runs past the gardens and this is very busy. Expect to be stared at whilst sun bathing. There is no attempt to control who enters the gardens and we regularly observed people not associated with hotel walking straight off the footpath and onto the sunbeds for the day (very annoying when you can't get a bed). There are also building works next door to the hotel and the peace and quiet of the gardens was ruined by the sound of heavy equipment. If you want a kettle in your room the charge is 4.75 euros per day... we didn't ask about the cost of a fridge. They will confiscate any electrical items not issued by the hotel so be warned..If you want coffee it is served in a very tiny cup and costs 2.75 euros. Drinks are equally expensive. The whole hotel stinks of cigarette smoke as you can smoke quite freely everywhere including the breakfast room. The breakfast is diabolical and the food is extremely poor quality (the worst I have ever experienced in Cyprus). We just stuck to the toast and some fresh tomatoes. The orange juice in the morning is orange squash!! If you have a room that is sea facing you will be distrubed by the noise from entertainments in the bar every night. On Karaoke night all the rooms that are inwards facing to the centre of the hotel will be disturbed. The speaker on the karaoke is big enough to play in Wembley stadium so the noise is substantial. The air conditioning in the reception and bar has been turned off (assume to save money). This hotel seems to be struggling through the recession and is deternined to charge for everything... Although not the hotels responsbility this part of Cyprus looks as though it has been through a war due to bad planning and developments combined with the property crash. We visit Cypus most years but were shocked at the cost this year it is more expensive than London. For example - two ice creams and four soft drinks cost 25 euros. Depending on which public beach you went to we were charged 20-30 euros for sunbeds and umbrellas (not if you are Cypriot then it is normally about 5 euros). This hotel lack attention to detail, is very tired and the food is awful...on the plus side the rooms are basic, clean and comfortable. The pool and gardens are small, clean and well maintained.

We have recently arrived back from the Queens Bay hotel after using this hotel as our base during a 2 week all inclusive stay. Whilst in Cyprus we were getting married, and our wedding party of 13 decided to all stay here. Where can i start, upon arrival, we were advised by a very 'british' couple that the hotel was awful, and the food resembles ardvark and there was nothing english to eat at all. i advised them, dont come to Cyprus and expect to have what you do in Blackpool!!!
The food certainly wasnt Ardvark, and was infact lovely, there was something for everyone every night, and if you were a little picky, there was always fresh pasta available with a sauce that you put on yourselves. There was always a fish dish, meat, and vegi option. A choice of potatoes (diff every night).
The Staff in the hotel we so friendly and went out of their way to help, and couldnt do enough to help with the wedding, chopping and changing at the last minute to suit our needs. nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel itself was perfect. it has beautiful views of the sea, and fantastic sunsets. Everything is clean, and immaculate. The rooms are basic and a fair size, as we were getting married, they put us in a larger room to accomodate hair and makeup on the day. Awaiting us at bed time was a noce bottle of bubbly.
The hotel has a pay per use washing machine and a dryer which is spotless. washer is 2x 2euro coins and the dryer is 3x 1 euro coins.
I reallt cant believe that this hotel is only a 3*, it should easily be a 4!!!
During our stay us girlies lived on Tequila Sunrises that were available from the all inclusive bar.
The location of the hotel is great, there is a good bus service from outside and there are a few supermarkets and resturants locally.
I agree that this hotel is great value for money and superb for relaxing as there are no children.

This was our second vist to Paphos Cyprus, we find a good holiday place to visit. ew chose the hotel from the brochure without really looking at its location. firstly the hotel. Itis a pleasant hotel clean basic rooms tv, safe NO Fridge!!BBC1 ITV1 so you can keep up with home, the Pool/ terrace area were kept clean & tidy no complaint at all, a25m pool that is only.5m deep ar the shallow end plus a kiddies pool good access to the beach but I never found time to go the pool was well used but never crowded always a good supply of sun loungers and yes there were people putting towels on them at 8 am then going for breakfast but there was never a shortage. staff were friendly very helpful, we were there for a wedding and one of the ladies rang around to organise a hairdresser for my wife even though they wre all closed on a thursday they arranged taxis for us gave information on other variouse topics for us
The downsides The Food while it was well cooked & presented was repeative, dull and unimaginative, usually a choice if Fish,Chicken, Pork. lots of varietey on salads which suited me completley Breakfast was adequate but dull not enough fresh fruit. We did eat out two nights of the week because of boredom with the dinner menu.
The other Downside was location not alot going on around you good if you want aquiet chill out holiday, but not if you want thenightlife in Paphos or coral though they Were only abus ride away at 1.5 Euros very cheap taxis could be Expensive 15 euros each way into paphos the other side of that coin was that it was not noisy or rowdy
I would happily go to paphos again but may be try another hotel, just because of the food
The other downside was the location

The hotel was just what we were looking for. It was cheap, friendly, clean and in a quiet and beautiful location.
The food was buffet style and there was always plenty of options although they did repeat the menu a few times, the puddings were good but again a little repetitive.
The room was what you would expect for a 3*, clean, small, twin beds, but always clean and re-made everyday. They even had BBC 1 and ITV so you don't miss Match of the Day.
The swimming pool and beach were perfect and very relaxing, not too many kids disturbing the peace and quiet and no muppet trying to entertain you all day.
As for Paphos, well you could be anywhere on the med really, the harbour was ok but just really busy and plenty of people trying to tout you into their cafes etc. The Troodos mountains were amazing and some of the little villages were beautiful, would highly recommend hiring a car and getting up there.
Overall does exactly what it said on the tin.

This was the first time my boyfriend and I had been to Cyprus. we Stayed for 2weeks, we chose Queens Bay beacause the location was good not to far from coral bay or paphos!
The hotel in itself was nice, it was nice to sit on the balcony in the evenings listening to the evening entertainment. We chose to go all inclusive because im vegetarian and find it difficult when eating out. The food at Queens Bay was a bit of a let down! With most all inclusive places food does become abit repetative but it got abit to much and we couldnt stomach it again for a couple of nights!
Make sure you put your towels on the sun loungers before your even unpack because even though they tell you not to you can guarantee the same towels will be glued to the beds the whole time your there!!
Rooms where nice enough the air-conditioning was poor tho, People from England going to a hot country like that cant handle the heat were not used to it! so could have been a bit colder!
The staff are really friendly especially louis the night receptionist a lovely man who will tell you to "Enjoy your Stay"!!
Overall it was a good holiday the loacation was excellent, the weather was great and everyone was very friendlY!!
WOULD I GO BACK? : yes i think i would just at a differnt time of year because its so hot in august!

This is the third time that my wife and I have stayed at QBH, and once again we were completely satisfied with the Hotel, the level of service, and the friendly staff, who make you feel at home immediately. Located in a beautiful setting, the hotel makes a very peaceful and tranquil place to spend a relaxing holiday, whilst providing all the facilities necessary to engage in various activities should you so wish.
The accomodation, and indeed all of the hotel and surrounding area is always kept spotlessly clean and tidy. The buffet meals are of a consistent quality, and are served in a very relaxing dining area, with constant attention by the excellent staff.
The evening entertainment is always of good quality and class, without being overbearing.
For those who drive, there are various good quality hire companies in Paphos area, and for those who do not wish to do so, there is a frequent bus service available a short walk from the hotel. We shall definitely return in the near future.

I read the reviews before we went away and we thought tht all of the people who write them just want a good moan, but i have to have a good moan aswell.
The hotel is clean nice and kind of friendly the rep was brilliant always there when we needed help and was very good. great pool loverly food. but lets just say i would never go cyprus or to this hotel ever again! its to far from anything and the last day we wasnt flying home untill 12 ish and we had no money because we thought with all inclusive you would have food and drink untill you leave but no we didnt get no drinks which i thought was not far at all! you cant go into the restrant without wearing smart trousers its to hot and you dont really want to wear smart trousers everytime you go down to dinner. the food the first couple of days were loverly and then it got boring chips every night would get boring! they did a chinese night and lets just say im put of chinese!!! i wouldnt recomend this hotel to couples of children its mainly for the older generation!! the entertainment was boring and you will feel like killing yourself! we thought because were all inclusive we will drink and stay there every night which wasnt good! you dont go up to the bar you get waited on and thats how they scam you, you can not get drunk!! before we went we wanted a shower to get freshernd up they geve us a room for 2 of us for only half an hour!!! thank you for your time to read this review i hope you all have a better holliday than i did. xx

We have just returned from Queens Bay Hotel and were very apprehensive about going all inclusive for the first time. We needn't have worried. The food was excellent, and during the week we were there, the evening menu was never repeated. Spoilt for choice of good quality food suitable for all tastes. This trip was booked on the remark made in a review which mentioned the cleanliness of the hotel. That report was spot on. Rooms, pool area and gardens were clean and well maintained. Staff friendly and nothing too much trouble. Evening entertainment was good and we have never been to a hotel where most people we spoke too had been there time and time again - a good recommendation for this hotel. Everyone has different tastes and expectations but don't listen to those who complain about everything as Queens Bay Hotel delivers on every front. Never a scramble for sunbeds or a quiet spot to enjoy the great views. The hotel was a little way from Paphos(15 mins by bus) but bus service frequent and easy to get around. If using buses get a return ticket for 2 Euros which means you can hop on and off the buses all day rather than paying 1 Euro for each trip.
