Bridge Of Lochay Hotel

We booked this hotel at the last minute for one night to use as a base for walking. Our expectations weren't very high as there wasn't a lot of availability left in Killin, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. They were clearly short staffed on the night we stayed but they maintained professionalism throughout our visit. I wish customer service was like this everywhere else in Scotland! I have to agree with earlier reviews of this hotel. We booked two rooms for two nights and really enjoyed our stay (despite the weather which wasn't great). Both rooms were recently redecorated and were very clean. All of the meals were excellent, breakfast was freshly cooked with some of the best bacon and scrambled egg I have tasted, and dinner was of a very high standard at a reasonable price. However it was the friendly owner and staff who really set it above other hotels I have stayed at, I therefore recommend it very highly.

Just got back from a few days there and had to add my comments to previous entries. Beautiful position, set against the backdrop of stunning hills and standing by the side of the river on the edge of the village. All rooms decorated extremely tastefully, food excellent and staff brilliant, the whole thing combines to provide a massive feel good and chill out experience.
