Alanda Club Marbella

The alanda club was average but was clean, the problem was with the parking, they are very small space, we are lucky, we go during spring and not to many people there yet. The apartment was clean but a little old.

I stayed here from March 25 through April 1 2006. My family and I had a three bedroom townhouse. We had traded our timeshare for this one through Interval International. We were very pleasently surprised at how lovely and upscale the unit was. We only had 5 in our party, but this apartment could have easily housed three more people. The kitchen had beautiful granite countertops and there was marble flooring throughout the apartment. We had four full bathrooms which were incredibly clean. We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it! price was $150 per night for 2 completely separate bedrooms & 3 full baths, plus dining room (not area!), full kitchen, washer/dryer! it's obviously a type of time share but we happened to book through expedia during the low season! this room slept 8 people! plus, terrace bigger than most hotel rooms, not to mention extra security measures. Looked like an upscale apartment!

Spent 4 nights from 2nd March at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, offering a cot to us on arrival but we had our own travel cot. This was our first non UK holiday with our 3 month old baby. Nice and quiet, and clean too. The indoor little pool was perfect for us, but not that warm. The resort felt very safe, and the little apartment was great value, and the bathroom and bedroom were quite big for a small apartment. We stayed at this complex March 17-21 2006 and were quite pleased with it. The room was well decorated and very clean. My only complaint is that they do not tell you that you need to bring your own soap,toilet paper etc. if you are staying longer then a day or two. Small hotel size soap was supplied but being that there were 3 of us we ran out quite quickly and when we asked for more we were told they only supplied it for the first day, after that we had to get our own. We enjoyed an excellent 5 day break here. The weather was superb for 4 out of the 5 days. The apartment we had was excellently clean and well-equipped and we had undisturbed sleep for 4 out of 5 nights, with only the last night marred by some 3am rowdiness upstairs. The seperate bedroom and kitchenette arrangement is very practical. The clientelle at this time of the year appear to be mostly middle-aged upwards, so this is not the place for you party-animals. Alanda Club Marbella is a predominately timeshare resort located in Elviria, just East of Marbella. Apartments are comfortable, superbly decorated and equipped, and access to gorgeous sandy beaches is easy. The resort clubhouse has it's own restaurant, which is good, if a little pricey, but also on-site is a further restaurant, supermarket and newsagent/beach goods store, whilst across the bridge over the N-340 is a commercial centre with further shops, restaurants and supermarkets. It seems that all complaints about service come from one part of the world, and I don't rate those people as travellers. We found the staff at the Alanda to be both friendly and efficient. We ate breakfast and snacks in a wonderfully equipped and large apartment. It was super to have a washer-dryer after a week of travelling. We drove out into "Spain" to eat delicious and inexpensive meals. Fabulous seafood! The Alanda is conveniently located to a Euro and Supersol supermarket to quickly pick up groceries. We stayed for two weeks in this resort with our two small children last week of september and first of october. We were very pleased with the large penthouse apartment with plenty of room for two busy children but with all the comfort you would expect. We stayed in phase 3 which is not directly connected to the reception, but the apartments in this phase are only a few years old. Beautiful pools but not heated and therefore pretty cold. There is a lot I can say about this place after we spent 5 days there... the bad is the parking. We had a car, and the parking lot was a disaster. There are numbers for the parking spots but you can't use those to judge where spots are because there are 3 numbers for every real spot. The spots are tight and the other patrons of the hotel were not considerate when they were parking as to make it easy for others to get in and out.
