Hotel Dost

Me (Kelly) and my fiance (Neil) stayed at the DOST in June 2007 and it was also our first time in Turkey. Hotel doesn't look like much when you arrive but the staff certainly made our holiday. Deniz and Hamet forever entertaining us and others (ask Hamet about the Love Shack). Adam is the manager who will do anything to make your stay more comfortable. He took us fishing and it was ace. We stayed at Dost last year in August and returned again in July this year and are going back in September also. When we stepped of the coach to the hotel it was like we had never been away from the place. We were greeted by Deniz and Mehtin. The hotel staff are amazing, with their entertainment at the bar we were never bored! The pool is clean and Adam (bossman) organised plenty of waterpolo games followed by tea! It was my first time at the Dost, but not the first time in Gumbet. The Hotel is very clean, thanks to Aysha for all her hard work. The staff couldn't have done any more for you, they were really brilliant! Many thanks to Deniz, who looked after me really well, keeping me supplied with diet coke and all manner of cold drinks! Many thanks also to Adam, who was lovely. He even changed my room so I could have an outside space, when one became available. Stayed for 2 weeks in July met a load of great people, the place may seem a bit basic but is run by staff who more than make up for this. Took my 7 year old daughter with me and ny niece and they loved it. The staff had time for everyone and really made the holiday, special thanks to Adam, Eddie, Mehmet, Chef Ali , and the maid who made sure our rooms were spotless every day. Was at the Dost 1st 2 weeks in July 2006.Had a great time and met great company. The staff were brilliant and great food. Dont get confused with the Dost Apartments A big thanks to all the staff Ali Boss, Adnam, Ali chef, Mehmet & Mad Eddie. Enjoyed it so much we are going back at the end of August 2006 for 2 weeks. just arrived back from two weeks at the dost had a great time ,mahmet,jimmy, ali chef, and especialy eddie were fantastic, they couldnt do any more for us,they was waiting for us when we arrived ,then when we was leaving at 3 30 in the morning they all stayed up to see us off on the coach, it was like leaving our freinds behind, we will never forget them, the hotel was clean , your room got cleaned every day by a wonderfull lady called simmi,ali chef made lovely food, it was food to die for, we will keep in touch eddie,hope to see you in... more

We have just returned from our holiday at the Dost Apartments, Gumbet. Wow what a week! We arrived late evening to find that they were waiting for us and prepared to serve food. Great, loads better than trying to find somewhere late in the evening when you've just arrived and are tired. This set the tone for the whole holiday. The staff couldn't do enough for you, they were courteous, friendly and the service was excellent. The rooms were clean and in good order, the pool and bar areas were immaculate. Just to letr you all know,I had the time of my life and i have booked for next year, The hotel is Fanstastic the people are just the best the rooms are coo. Just come back from a week at the Dost Hotel in Gumbet. Bit of a mixed bag really. Think the quality of the room varies greatly on which side of the hotel you're in. When we arrived we were put out the front, looking onto the main road, which was very noisy and the room was really tiny. But when we told Adam the owner we weren't happy and asked if we could move to a room with a balcony overlooking the pool, he did all he could to help us out. Once moved we had no problems with the Hotel, the room was what we expected for the price we paid.... more

Well, This was the 2nd time I have been to Gumbet. The 1st time I stayed at the hotel magnific-V.Good beach location, but last August I was on a budget. Anyway found the dost, arrived there and thought" Oh my god, what have I done"? But I thought to myself, it's what you make of it. The hotel is family run by Adam and family...I have never been made to feel so welcome(honestly!).
