Hotel Villa Guadalupe

Arrived early evening at Hotel Villa Guadalupe on December 23rd. Execellent welcome from Stephenie followed by a beautiful meal from an extensive menu in the dining room overlooking the city of Malaga. The hotel is very comfortable and Agnes, Alex, Henryand all the staff at this small, relaxing hotel could not be more friendly or thoughtful. Nothing in our short stay was a problem for them. Stayed at Hotel Villla Guadalupe at the tail end of a Cruise (Royal Carribean - Navigator of the Seas). The hotel is lovely and sits on a hill overlooking the city. The Restaurante Amador--Headed by Chef/Owner Amador is superb! The hotel is very clean and an excellent value. It is located about 20 minutes - 20 Euro from the beach. The only downside is that you need to rely on taxi or a rental to get to the beach--as the hotel is located at the top of the hill in a residential area. If you want a nice quiet place to stay--it is perfect!

This hotel is worn out and in need of a good makeover. Apparently it used to be the place where the elite would stay and dine. The hotel has an amazing view of the city and coastline. Unfortunately it is a 12 euro taxi trip from the train station and will cost almost 20 euros to get to the beach. You will need a rental car if you stay at this hotel and I recommend using the rental car to travel beyond the Malaga area. The restaurant is also very nice...the food is good and the dining room has a great view of the city and coastline.

We stayed at the villa twice.At the beginning and at the end of our trip to Andalucia.The hotel is a small, 11 rooms only on the outskirt of Malaga overlooking the city and the harbour.it is owned by a Dutch family run by Alex and the restaurant is run by his brother Amador.well,it is a great combination.The rooms are not large,but have all the amenities one needs, the food is to die for and the whole operation is done in a very subdued and professional way.
