Ibis Malaga Centro Ciudad

Situated right in the centre of the city on the rambla, a 2 min walk to all the shops. The hotel is aimed at the business user but have some fantstic offers on for the w/ends. Rooms were very clean & just big enough for city visiting. No tea/coffee in room but baralways open. Had to request a haidryer from reception as non in the rooms but did not have any probs getting one. Good value for money hotel, close to the city centre. Clean, friendly staff and convenient rooms. Don't have breakfast here, but take the small effort to cross the river and try a bar in the city. Its cheeper and better. If you have to take breakfast in the hotel, ask the staff to make your coffee at the bar, the stuff from the machines is awful.

Best price/value I've ever been to. Superb room for superb price. Only two things negative: breakfast could be better. And a bunch of noisy kids playing sports and drinking before the hotel until late night, so its a little hard to sleep with opened windows.. Everything other is great: modern room, price, pleasant and helpfull staff.... would definitely come back

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in September. It is easily reachable by bus No 19 from Malaga Airport and is close to both the bus and railway stations. Its location is excellent being in walking distance of Malaga's historic centre and only a few minutes from the Cortes Ingles (for shoppers) This hotel was opened eighteen months ago and it is modern, clean and well maintained by the helpful staff. We booked our 1 night at this Ibis hotel via their website for 49Euros. It was a good value for 1 night. Clean, nice, and the location was relatively good although not directly in the historic district of Malaga. The directions and map to the hotel on their website weren't very helpful so we ended up walking a little longer than we would have liked. We had to call the hotel and ask local folks along the way to find it. The hotel staff were very helpful (and spoke English) and had local maps and suggestions of where to go on our 1 day.... more

Location - good. We took the train from the airport (which runs every half hour) to Malaga Centro and from there it was about 10-15 min to the hotel. From the hotel, it is an easy walk to shops/restaurants. Typical IBIS - very clean, everything works and the staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Stayed at the Malaga Ibis Centro hotel for one night and found it to be clean, new and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally helpful which was a change from the aloofly detached service we grew accustomed to in other hotels in Spain. I was hesitant to book this modern hotel as I normally like to stay in old hotels in Spain. However this hotel was a great break during our trip because unlike many old hotels in Spain, it was quiet. While this is a pretty cheap hotel, you get what you pay for. The "bed" is a board with a thin matress on top, not very comfortable. The rooms are clean but not that big. No tea or coffee making facilities either. Not a great selection from their menus for breakfast of evening meals. But as this is only a 2** hotel you can't expect a whole lot. The hotel is very convienent for visiting the city centre as it's only a few minutes walk to the main street. Staff were very courtious and friendly.

We booked this hotel directly from the Ibis website. We paid €49 (£33) per night as it was a paid in advance booking which attracted a discount. It is easily reached by train from Malaga airport. Just get off at Malaga Centro (Almeda). It is less than a ten minute walk to the Ibis. We got a taxi from the airport as it was very late when we arrived. It cost us 20€ plus a tip. This hotel is a short walk from the Málaga Centro rail station, itself reached easily in three minutes by a connecting train from the city's main rail station. The Ibis Málaga Centro is at a very central location, near the city's main Post Office and a short distance from many municipal offices and businesses. Rooms are clean and quiet, flatscreen television with lots of channels. Free WiFi in room is a real bonus. Breakfast could have been better (only cold dishes, ie. sliced ham, cheese, muffins etc.) All in all a great place to relax... more
