Hotel Alpino

We had an excellent flight over with Astraeous, connections excellent. Hotel rooms very good, town very pleasant. The food in hotel good, only ate out once because of menu being not to our taste. The staff were always helpful and concerned that we were happy, they put on a late meal after our trip to Venice which was worth the effort to get back for. Booked this hotel through Expedia, for a very reasonable rate compared to many other hotels in resorts around Lake Garda. Malcesine is by far and away the best town to stay on on the Lake, and the Hotel Alpino is right in the heart of the town and just a short stroll away from the waterfront. Many of the "posher" and more expensive hotels we'd seen on the Expedia site were situated quite a way out of the town - along a pleasant promenade but still a fair walk if you wanted to sit around the harbour having an after dinner drink. hi the hotel is a basic 2star bed &breakfast +evening meal situated in the heart of malcesine not too noisy and very clean its a family business and very popular ,,the staff are very pleasant and friendly we would go back ////// mick sylve june 2007
