Boulevard Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Arrived before our room was ready so sat in reception & were ignored for 3 hours as we were too tired to go anywhere else. We eventually were given one of our rooms so we all crashed in there for a few hours. Rooms very clean.No view. Pool a little on the dirty side.Construction all around & quite noisy. Breakfast buffet diverse.Location was good for shopping as it was part of Mid Valley Shopping centre & the train station was right next to the hotel. The Boulevard Hotel is modern and convenient and it is situated right beside Mid Valley Megamall. Infact there is a side door near the lifts that leads to the shopping mall. The hotel staff are efficient and kind of business-like in their attitude which might not be a bad thing. The buffet breakfast was decent with a variety of food and is next to the gym and pool. Booked 4 rooms with the hotel for my family. We arrived early at the hotel. As it is the peak holiday season in Malaysia, I was upgraded to a bigger room after a long wait /fight at the reception. We stayed at the hotel for 2 days. Great rooms and buffet breakfast spread! The only drawback was the poor front desk service during check in and limited tv channels! Would love to go back to the hotel again. .

Stay there for 3 days. Arrived in KL by Car on Aug 31st, 2007 at 1:30pm. Bad day to go to Mid-Valley Mega Mall as it is a public holiday in Malaysia. Since Boulevard Hotel does not have their own hotel car park, i have to park at the mall parking areas. The roads surround the mall is packed/jammed during that time. Making matter worst, all mall entrances are blocked (either car park is full or under renovation). It took me 2 hours (circle the mall 3 times) before manage to get into the carpark. I chose this hotel as it had good rating on Tripadvisor. However, there are some serious problems with staying here if you want to see the sites of KL. Firstly, it is quite far away from the major sites. In the information on the website it sounds like you can easily get to the sites either by the Komuter train and then to the other train systems or by taxi. I stay at Boulevard Hotel at least once a month. The location is good as it is directly next to the Mid Valley Mega Mall. If you take the train or flight, you can take the Komuter train from KL Sentral to Mid Valley station. It is only 1 station away and the fare is rm1. If you're coming from Singapore, you can take the Airebus directly from Royal Plaza Hotel at Scotts Road to Boulevard. I find the staff at Boulevard really courteous and efficient. I have stayed at the Boulevard a couple of times, most recently in March and again in May, 2007. My client booked me in there while I was doing some executive seminars for them. I found the rooms, spacious, clean and comfortable. On one trip, they upgraded me to the higher floors with access to the executive lounge. The views were SPECTACULAR!! The Boulevard Hotel is part of the Cititel group which owns the MidValley complex. Before the KTM Komuter station was added at MidValley, this area wasn't really a good one to stay in, as commuting into central KL just took too long. However, the new train station is just 2 minutes walk from the Boulevard and so I thought I'd give this hotel a try. Good value for money, especially considering breakfast was included. The staff were initially cold, but warmed up and then completely exceeded expectations and impressed: my wife had a leg injury that inflamed during our stay - the staff there provided a wheelchair for mobility, a foot stool to ensure her comfort and were anticipatory.
