The Legend Hotel Kuala Lumpur

We booked one of the 3 bedroom apartments in the Legend Hotel. It was advertised as a double, twin and single rooms. It ended up having 2 double and 1 single. The toilet hadn't been cleaned, and other peoples rubbish was in the bin. There was no fridge and had to ring 3 times to get someone to come and SEE there was no fridge. Overall, it is more like a 3 star hotel (a dirty one) - certainly not a 5 star. Location was convenient, staff were OK, it was dirty, apartment was spacious. Wouldn't stay here again.

I’d stayed at this hotel for two nights and was upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment although I’d booked two double rooms. Checking in was relatively fast and the receptionist attitude wasn’t as bad as what I’d read from other reviews. However, it’s true that there are some trainees managing the front desk as well as the concierge table. The room itself was surprising dated and needed repairs. I didn't have particularly high expectations of the Legend but was pleasantly surprised. Checking in late we were given a suite on the 30th floor, complete with a small kitchenette and a balcony with a great view over KL. The suite was very spacious, and reasonably clean. It was in need of some decorative attention. Nothing too serious, but you can tell that the hotel is a few years old. I visited KL this Feb and stayed in hotel Legend which was poised to be a 5 star hotel, to my surprise, it is not even closer to a 5 star accommodation. it is a old property with dirty rooms which requires immediate refurbishment. Interiors are facility available inside the hotel does not matches the modern Malaysia. It is too old to compare with everything else in Malaysia. Not at all a value for money to stay in. There are many other option available in KL in the same price range which offers a lot better accommodation and service.... more

This is a lovely hotel - luxurious without being over-the-top. Was very impressed with the service, especially clean sheets daily! Wow! The room was beautiful, clean - king single beds, as was sharing, very comfortable. Air con efficient so temperature was not a problem! The breakfasts (included) were sumptuous - plan on lingering and trying all the asian foods as well as the usual! Great gym and outdoor pool with superb view of city. Loved the Monkey Bar, but be warned, alcoholic drinks are pricey! The restaurants are expensive too... more

We stayed at the legend Hotelfrom the 26th of February to the 12th of March. The full holiday stuck in our mind as the staff went out there way to be so friendly. Going out their way to say good morning sir, or how are you today sir and not in a forceful way. they were 100% comitted to their job evryone of them. The breakfast was buffet style in the mornings. I stayed at the legends, through a timeshare exchange. The hotel is easy to get to by taxi and will cost approx 100 Ringgit. To catch a taxi, a voucher needs to be bought at the airport counter. There is also a train from the airport, but the station is not close to the hotel. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly. I got a 2 bedroom and it was spacious. The hotel reception is situated on the ninth level. It has a posh and spacious ambience. The event organiser was supposed to have booked a non-smoking room for me, but upon checking in, I was told that there was no such room left, as the non-smoking floors were all occupied. However, the lady at reception offered to put me on the 30th floor (a smoking floor) in a more spacious room with kitchenette. Somebody's actaully promoting this hotel as a 5* hotel. This is also what we were informed, when we booked it. I would say it is between 2 and 3 stars. It is so old and dirty, the rooms have not been maintained for many years. There is mould growing in the bath tubs, the lamps and wallpaper are falling down. The lights panels do not work, my light could not be switched off. HOtel with full facilities, walking distance to Exhibition centre, Train station etc.I'm always check-in into Legend Crest Room and always use Crest Lounge. The room nice,Gorgeous,Clean, Big, Facing KUala lumpur twin Tower PLus balcony as well. When i arrive at Legend HOtel, Bellman really helpful and Reception staff Friendly, Knowlegeable.Only Have to Mention , Buffet breakfast normal and same things everyday.
