Simple & Clean
This hotel from outside looks small but the room was very clean and nice. The surrounding is not so well placed but it is still a convenient for those people looking for a nice room to stay in. Breakfast is pretty dull as there isnt much of a variety. Above all I give this hotel a thumbs-up for comfort!!
Terrible hotel
I had chosen this hotel after reading the comments. It was the price not worth; I went in cheaper hotels in Kuala Lumpur which was more class then this smelly hole. I was glad that I stayed only 3 days there. Never again.
An ok budget hotel
As 2 students staying in KL we wanted a cheap yet pleasent and comfortable hotel. However we found that this was not the case: Room: Fairly small and cramped appaling view onto a block of flats where the occupants seem to throw their rubbish out of the windows so it gathers tip like on the neighbouring buildings - a beautiful site to behold! Beds were comfortable. In an earlier review a guest mentioned the interesting odour that permeated their room and corridor. We can confirm that there was indeed a noticable corridor... more
So So Hotel
Location so so... the Bintang Warisan is much better located and it's rate is lower. The rooms were okay, small but stayable. It really felt like a used hotel room! Water pressure for the shower were low. The lift requires the room keycard to function which was a good security measure, but it was a bit of a hassle. The washroom at the lobby level also requires the keycard, but we couldn't manage to access it for whatever reason, so had to hop back up to our room. The breakfast had the most limited choices I have ever experience in... more
Very dissapointing
Me & my partner stayed in KL for the 1st time back last year for 3 nights at the AG - it was 3 nights to many. The taxi driver who took us there could not find the hotel & never heard of it. He asked another driver in the Bukit Bintang area & he did not have no idea either. Obviously this hotel wasnt in high demand. When we entered the hotel, the door man / bell-boy made no attempt what so ever to help with the suitcases. They watched as we struggled! They had 2 lifts - one didnt work! THE ROOM - The room was clean but very... more
Has seen better times
Not a place we would ever stay again. Our rooms were o.k. and clean but have seen better times and are in need of a renovation as is the whole hotel. The money we paid was way to much for what was offered. The breakfast is definitely nothing to write home about.
Smelliest hotel I've been in
I first stayed there in 2001 and remembered it to be an affordable & pleasant hotel to stay in. But it was very new at that time. So I couldn't believe how much it has deteriorated in only 3 years when i stayed there again in 2004. The whole floor we stayed on, including our room, stank of sweat & other disgusting things and when we complained about it, the hotel staff were unhelpful & hostile. All they did was send someone up with a can of airfreshener!?! They never offered to change our room until we insisted. I've also never heard of a... more
Just Ok
We should hv read the reviews b4 staying in AG. It's what as described by the mother & daughter who stayed there before in one of the reviews. We were really disappointed because it doesnt look as nice as the pictures. Generally it's not that bad. Basic amenities are there, but below expectation of a boutique hotel. We stayed one night & moved to another hotel the next day which is far far better at almost the same rate!
not what it advertises
I and my daughters stayed at the Allson Genesis hotel in Kuala Lumpur, and having found it on the net, thought it looked 'pretty good', with a pretty good price as well. We chose the Business suite as it also advertised having a kitchenette. I phoned the hotel to book, and they didnt quote me the prices we had found on the internet, so I had an arguement there already. However, we came to an agreement. Finally when we got to the hotel, we were shown to a room which was obviously not the one we had booked. I rang reception, only to be... more
Bad, bad, bad
This was an experience to be missed. I found it terrible and was surprised as Malaysian hotels are the best I have stayed in. I stayed in the hotel around Christmas 2000, so hopefully it has changed since then. When I arrived at the hotel I went to reception and the manager said that he regretted moving to the hotel. The room I stayed in had damp sheets on the bed, dirty hand and finger marks on the walls. There was mould in the bathroom. Carpets and curtains needed a good clean. I suspected there was a prostitute... more
