Dracos Apartotel

Dracos is a beautiful hotel with clean rooms that has good balconies an a good view (if you choose a room that faces the swimmingpool). The shower is big, there's a fridge in each room and the airconditioning makes the temperature bearable at night. However the beds are quite hard to sleep on. The breakfast was very boring so after the first day we bought our own and ate it at the balcony instead. Found this wonderful hotel through parga.net My wife said she had seen Parga in a brochure a few years ago and thought it looked really pretty. When we looked for accomodation we came across the apart-hotel Dracos which looked great. We spent a week at the Dracos, returning home 1 July, having been impressed with the reviews on this site. We booked direct with the hotel, paying 75 Euro for the room per night including breakfast (nothing spectacular - bread, jams, eggs, cereal, juice, Greek yoghurt - but what you'd expect and good value considering the price), paying 150 Euro as a deposit to secure the room. Just got back form a heatwave in June, 41 degrees!!! However, the room was lovely and cool and didn't even need the air-con! When you arrive they tell you 40 euros for a weeks air-con, but you can bargain for a few days worth for much better price! We had room 3, which was lower ground, furthest on right. Was a great room, as very cool and had double the terrace area outside, of any other room, and next to lush grass and gdn! We stayed at the dracos in september 2006. The accomodation was outstanding, very clean,very modern,staff very helpfull,lovley views. We travelled with a 5 month old baby this was ideal for us nice and quiet with a little baby pool , the apartments provided us with a cot and a ground floor room which was great.. The apartments are situated on a steep hill just off the main road so would not recomend for people with walking difficulties , we was ok with a pushchair gave us good excersise but i would recomend a torch for late... more

We've just spent a very relaxing week at the Drachos Apartotel in Parga, Greece. The weather contrary to that we expected and prepared for was excellent, sunny every day with temperatures of 23 -24C. The apartments are presented to a very high standard with marbled floors throughout including the walls in the bathroom / wet room. The kitchen area is good enough to prepare simple meals but as commented by another reviewer a toaster would have been a welcome addition. just arrived back from parga. what a lovely place...really restful week just what we wanted.. apartments were lovely. although the hill was a bit of a strain, but walked off our dinner every night. lovely restarants included, birds of paradise and yannis, both on the back road. we went by water taxi to valtos beach, which was lovely. the watersports (doughnuts, water ski, banana etc) were very reasonably priced and the kids got such a long go on them.!! if you like pretty greece, excellent food, no hooligans but a bit of life... more

The Drakos is a small and well kept complex which is a lovely place to relax. Having seen a lot of accomodation in Parga it seems that the Drakos is one of the newer and more modern properties. The bathroom and shower is excellent by Greek standards and the sheets and towels were very clean and new. Bright white and changed regularily! I dont cook on holiday but like a fridge but for those who want to actually "self-cater" it would be difficult. A toaster would have been handy for breakfast time. We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Dracos Aparthotel in Parga. We were very impresed by the apartments and the staff, which were very friendly and helpful. Apartments were very spacious, large walk in shower with Lux shower gel/shampoo and clean towels and bed linen every couple of days. The apartments were in a peaceful location set in well cared for gardens, the pool and sunbeds were cleaned every day. If you want good quality apartments in a paceful location you will not be dissapointed at the Dracos.

The hotel is located in really nice olive tree field, very quite and without much noise...The rooms are clean and with really taste decorated. The service descret and any time on your request but the breakfast is extra on price and not good as expected... It's not really far from the main beach of Parga but car is necessary, if you are not a decicated walker, to approach the other beach of Parga Lichnos, or Valtos...But boats start all the time from the port so it's not hard at all...
