The accommodation was very basic; the manager Raphael was no help whatsoever in my opinion he was very arrogant to say the least. When we arrived at Charlys we had to wait at least half an hour for the room keys to be handed over as there was noone in the office. If you have any repairs or help don’t even bother to ask the manager because it won’t get done.
Apart from that, the resort was really nice; plenty of shops bars and resturants. The Old Boat and Oasis restaurants I found were particularly nice, the staff were very friendly and the Old Boat is run by a British couple. I would go back again to the resort but not to Charlys.

My friend and I have just returned from a week's holiday at Charlie’s. It was a cheap last minute type deal so we didn't expect too much but it would have been good to know just how noisy the location is; not just from local bars but people talking/shouting very loudly outside, the emptying of the bins during the early hours, youths on quad bikes and cars cruising round the block throughout the night, playing music. There was also NO reception to speak of unless you count the unlocked room which was never staffed. On the rare occasion we actually saw the Manager, Rafael we reported that we had NO hot water from the shower.
He said he's arrange for it to be looked at. This never happened and we ended up having cold showers for the duration, which didn't go down well with the 4 year old who was with us. Rafael also said we had to leave the room at 11.30am on our last day but we would be notified, the day before, of an empty room in which to leave our cases/shower before our night flight.
The luggage room referred to in internet descriptions consists of an unlocked unmanned room, next to the unlocked main entrance. Hardly ideal for leaving luggage for any length of time. This notice never materialised and we ended up staying in the room til 5, waiting for the maids to kick us out. The maids however, never attended once - bed linen was never changed and we had the same towels on the last day as the day we arrived.
It is very close to the beach and local bars/restaurants and we did have a great view from the balcony but would have preferred not to feel so 'on our own'. It's definitely a budget choice and if you don't expect anything other than the basics, you won't be disappointed.

" My husband and I with our 4 children... "

My husband and I with our 4 children aged 18 to 10 have just returned from a great self catering holiday to Charlys apartments in Can Picafort, Mallorca.
We booked a 2 bedroom apt. Which was spacious, fully equipped, clean and tidy, with 2 twin rooms, and double sofa bed in the lounge, dining table and chairs, kitchen, bed linen and towels provided, full bathroom and a large balcony with table and chairs overlooking the beach and sea which is literally a 1 minute walk away. (Not 10 mins as stated!) Lots of shops and good restaurants on the doorstep.
The only photo I could find on the Internet must be very old as it is now all done out as a western style saloon bar from the outside.
The man who seems to run things was very easy going and friendly, so laid back and well organised. we only saw him once. Cleaning lady came in midweek with fresh towels.
There is music playing into the night coming from the bar but we got used to it! The best bit for us was the view from our balcony, which was a total surprise, turquoise sea and safe sandy beach, which the kids loved.
A fantastic value for money place which we will definitely be going back to.
I hope this review helps anyone looking for info.
