El Buric

Had a wonderful 4 days in Alghero from fri 4th Feb 2005 El-Buric lovely clean acomodation with spendid veiws from balcony.Hosts Mario and wife very friendly and pointed out places to see and things to do.Wonderful beaches and took the local train to the capital and visited museum on Marios recomendations not disapointed wonderful day out. Alghero old town and harbour for nice shops cafes and veiws.Not full of the usual chain style places.All in all for a sunny and relaxing break try Sardinia and Aghero and stay at one of EL-BERICS... more

We enjoyed our stay at El Buric. The accomodations were great. Starting from how easy it was to get to from the airport, great parking, central location, wonderful coffee, high speed internet.. I could go on and on. We were able to see almost all of the island over three days, using Alghero as a base.

We had a very good time in alghero . The B&B was very comfortable and Mario and Fiorella, our hosts, were very kind and talkative to us. We spent a night together talking about Sardinian traditional music, archaeology, street music festivals and pewter ware.

The apt cavour is a little gem. Warm and cosy, quiet and airy; a nest in winter and a sanctuary from the sun in summer. Accesed easily from the airport because of its owner's personal taxi service. It is in the centre of this splendid medieval town girthed by the fortifications of the bastione (solid battlements which have repelled invaders for 500 years). It has beautiful shops, resturants, bars and nightclubs within easy reach. For the adventurers it is within striking distance of the mountains of eastern sardinia and the beaches... more

The stay by Mario and Fiorella was very nice. Their B&B is well located. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Mario and Fiorella are also very friendly and open if you need any information about good food or about an interesting place to visit. It were very nice holidays.

Mario and Fiorella are lovely, welcoming hosts and we had a very pleasant stay at El Buric. They welcomed us with a much appreciated coffeee and throughout our stay everything we needed was provided. Due to an expected family bereavement back home, Mario helped us by taking phone calls and emails and made available his computer to us. In all we had an enjoyable time in Alghero which was enhanced by staying at El Buric.

This is an extreamly nice and friendly place to stay. The appartment is located within the shortest walking distance from any of the attraction in Alghero. The Apartment is both frendly and warm with all the creature comforts you would expect,such as a cooker, kettle and a washing machine etc. The beds are extreamly comfortable and relaxing.A very hot shower awaits to relax you after you strolls along the wonderful Marina. At a very cheap price for the appartment, you wont ever be out of pocket, you wouldnt want to stay anywhere... more

We arrived in Sardinia feeling very tired and in need of quiet rest and rehab. Mario met us at the airport, was very genial, and drove us to our apartment in the old town - just in ear shot of the sea. We bought all our food in the market - just 6 minutes gently stroll away - and cooked it in our apartment. Great shower, plenty of hot water, limited cooking facilities but sufficient for two. Mario found us superb appartments on the 'bastioni' in the old town, only 10 metres from the sea !! Unbeatable location - Rustic but comfortable rooms.

Mario and Fiorella are lovely, welcoming hosts and we had a pleasant stay at El Buric. The accommodation was fine, on par with other B&Bs we have visited, value for money, with lovely views, and everything we needed on a budget holiday. But what made our stay so good was the advice on further accommodation, restaurants and local visits and the information about the island's history, provided by our knowledgable hosts, over a glass of wine one evening.
