Unique experience
from EvelyneLeuven
If you want your holiday in Amalfi to be special, and not in a unpersonal big hotel full of noisy tourists, Hotel Le Palme is realy the best choice, certainly for young travellers! The hotel is located on a hill, and in contradiction to what other reviewers were moaning about, it is not so difficult to reach. There is a bus to Pogerola for less than 2 euros. From the bus stop (Excelsior) you can take a stair down to the very charming B&B, where Antoinetta makes you a very welcome stay. The views are outstanding over the sea and...

We did not want to go home....
from EugenieM
We stayed in this lovely guesthouse run by the magnificent Cuomo family for 4 nights and did not want to leave. As previous reviewers said it possibly has the best view of Amalfi. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden full of Olive trees and Lemon groves all lovingly taken care of by nonno Rino (mille grazie per i limone!). Nothing is too much for the family and Antonietta possibly makes the best cappucino in the world! Yes, the steps could be a problem but if you like an true italian coastal experience then there is nothing nicer...

Terrible experience
from LilicaSP
We were coming from Rome for a honey moon experience in Amalfi. After giving a overall looking at booking.com we decided to book this hotel that seems to be nice and close to the beach. First of all, the hotel is not located at Amalfi, as it is advertised. It´s in the midle of the way to Porgerola, and you have to spend 20 euros to reach there by taxi. Other hotels that is not in the city have a van service in regular basis, which is not the case of HH Le Palme. When you get there, the taxi driver leaves you in the middle of...

The best view of the Amalfi Coast
from iTravelanditsfun
We spent 3 weeks in Italy and this was, by far, the most enchanting place where we stayed. The view of the sea and the coast from the hotel is amazing -we spent most of our 3 afternoons there just reading and looking at the sea. The place is not in the center of Amalfi, which is a good thing because the center of Amalfi (basically one noisy street jam-packed with tourists and cars) is not a place where you want to spend more than a couple of hours every day. It is accessible via a 20-25 minutes walk (stairs) from the center of Amalfi....

Buyer beware
from KROCKET
I saw great reviews on this site about this hotel, so we booked it. It all sounded too good to be true - free parking, room with a view in Amalfi, short distance to town. I was quite shocked to find that it wasn't in Amalfi at all, but in Pogerola, a 10 - 15 minute drive from Amalfi. Parking is above the Hotel Excelisor (who are quick to tell you not to use their parking - and parking on the narrow Amalfi streets can be tricky). When we asked the folks at Excelsior they said 'down the stairs, keep going, and don't use our elevators.'...

A pleasant surprise
from travelchika22
We came by this magnificent hotel by total coincidence as we were driving down. We could not have been more lucky. It was amazing. They gave us free parking, and an excellent rate for the amazing location. Our room smelled incredibly clean, and it was very spacious. We were pleasantly surprised when opening the windows because they revealed a charming terrace with a table and chair surrounded by flowers. We had a magnificent time here, and we would recommend this hotel to anyone. Another great thing is that they have their own restaurant...

Bellissimo!
from Judentus
We stayed at Le Palme in Sept 07. our room was lovely with own front door leading out to balcony and amazing view down the mountain to the sea and town of Amalfi. the room was a good size as well as a decent sized bathroom with a whirlpool which was lovely after all the walking you end up doing in this part of Italy. we actually enjoyed the schlep down to the town, all 600 stone steps. it led you through lemon groves, past little churches and the whole way down you were just blessed with the most incredible scenic views. the...

take some steps in the right direction
from rottenrobin
This is my first ever review so bare with me. I'll try to keep things brief but I do tend to get caried away. Firstly i would like to recommend this hotel whole heartedly to anyone visiting Amalfi. It is in an amazing location and the staff are the friendliest I came accross during a whirlwind eight day tour round the coastline. But, and I need to stress, BUT, this hotel will not be suitable for everyone. I'll explain why as we go along. Le Palme is in an idyllic location high up on the hills of Amalfi. It is right in the middle...

The perfect secret to your Amalfi vacation
from Valentina05
I absolutely loved Hotel Le Palme! Staying in this quaint, clean and beautiful house added to the charm of my stay on the Amalfi Coast. 1. Room: We were upgraded to their nicest room. It was spacious, sparkling clean and had everything we needed such as a fridge, living room, air conditioning and a large bathroom. The room was cleaned from top to bottom everyday and we never had any problems with our accomodations. 2. Staff: Perfect! The two wonderful ladies that run the hotel are incredibly accomodating, kind and take pride in...

Trailblazing the Le Palme
from Kligmanb
It is a privilege to be the pioneer reviewer of Le Palme Holiday House, considering we could not find a blessed review anywhere online for this place, but decided to take a chance and book it anyway. We were in no way disappointed. I’ll try to make this comprehensive and as honest as possible for all you interested travelers disappointed with the lack of info on this former mystery hotel. Plus I have a lot of time on my hands… Travel background – 21 yr old male college student from New Jersey, traveling with 3 other...
