Hotel La Ninfa

What a beautiful place. We were on holiday and stumbled onto La Ninfa Hotel. The staff was courteous and attentive, and the owner was very nice and helpful. I only wished that I would have been able to drive his "smart car" around the Amalfi Coast. This place is truly magical, and I would advise all travellers to stay at least to nights in this area.

The sunrises from the balcony of our room at la Ninfa were gorgeous but everything else was a bit of a disappointment. We stayed in several hotels in Italy and it was definately our least favorite. First of all, despite having directions from the hotel, it was difficult to find. The hotel isn't in Amalfi but on the road to Positano. Yes, there is a bus stop in front of the hotel but the buses can be very full and don't always stop. We walked down the hill into Amalfi several times but the road is narrow with lots of traffic. La Nifna is a beautiful little hotel situated on a cliff overlooking the the sea. It is one of a few hotels which has an unobstructed view, as well as, a privated beach. The breakfast area is a great place to drink wine and watch the day go by. In the evening, you can hear the peaceful sound of the waves as you sleep. Amalfi is a place to relax, drink lemoncello and enjoy the amazing views.

The owner of this hotel went out of his way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We are a couple 25-35 who stayed at HOTEL LA NINFA during summer and were amazed with the service of this "boutique hotel" as i would put it because it has the qualities that the larger hotel does not. The accomdations at La Ninfa were stupendous. My room was large with high ceilings and some of the Amalfi Coast's most spectular views. The breakfast which was included in the cost of the room was a nice plus....the cappucino was the best I have ever had. I honestly cannot recommend La Ninfa more highly. Book your room early and you will not be disappointed. p.s. the location is perfect and only a short distance from Positano.

La Ninfa is a great boutique hotel! It is rare when the reality is better than the pictures, but this was just the case. The rooms were great, the 180 degrees panorama on the sea from my room window just breathtaking and the terrace right over the sea really motivated to get up for breakfast! The service was friendly and well-organized, there when you needed it and not excessive when you needed your privacy. A friend and I stayed at La Ninfa in Oct of 2006 and the experience was wonderful! Our room had a gorgeous ocean view in both the bedroom and bathroom and it was a short distance from the town center. The owner Maurizio attended to all of our needs and was a great host. Rooms were all beautiful, exceptionally clean with breath taking views. I would definately come back! The Amalfi was by far my favorite place in Italy!

We began our honeymoon at La Ninfa and is was a great experience from the start. We arrived late and Maurizio (owner) was extremely welcoming! He knew exactly who we were when we phoned and was always a pleasure to speak with. The Hotel is absolutely gorgeous, from the decor to pleasant staff! It is situated at the top of a cliff with a beautiful view of the beach and only a few minutes walk down to the beach. If you plan to stay at La Ninfa request Room 5, it had its own balcony and made the experience even more relaxing!

For our Honeymoon & first trip to Italy we wanted a good base to visit the Amalfi Coast, without the 5* Prices. We Emailed the Hotel direct - good friendly comms & were promised one of their best rooms. The owner even phoned us mid travel to give directions (we hired a car from Naples/Napoli airport, onto A3 for Salerno, then signs to Amalfi, under 2 Hours with 1.5Euro toll road in between). I booked my stay through La Ninfa’s website. I decided to pay extra for a room over looking the water to enjoy the scenery. My only advice would be not to set your expectations really high because the photos on the website are so amazing. The hotel itself is nice but average.
