Hotel Terminus

I have just returned from a holiday in Lake Garda staying at the Terminus Hotel. Myself and my family were truly delighted with this hotel. The management and staff could not do enough for you. The food was absolutely delicious and the location was excellent. I spoke so highly of the hotel that my nephew is booking up to go in September. I am also booking up to go again next year. I would have no reservations in recommending this hotel to anyone. Kay Scotland.

we went in sept and the weather was just right, the hotel is in a good location but they do like you to wake up early, if its not the maids wanting to come in it the church bells striking 7am and 7pm and they dont just ring 7 times they keep going, the staff were brill they made the hotel for us, the owners was not very helpful if you needed anything, we asked to change rooms at first but there was no chance, but we was glad in the end. you dont need a car here as you can walk to the town in 5mins. the rooms are very old fashioned decor, and... more

We stayed here in 2001 and 2005.Litlle had changed in the intevening years. It is still run by the elderly lady and her son ( Umberto ). Generally the owners and staff are friendly but when we asked for a quieter room were met with "maybe next week". I suspect that they don't like people to rock the boat. The hotel is located about 15mins from the boats and five minutes from the bus terminus. We have recently returned from a most enjoyable week at the Hotel Terminus. For a three star hotel we were very impressed with how large our room was, including masses of storage space. The room was always kept clean, the maids are very polite, in fact all the staff were friendly, helpful and polite. The food was excellent. Breakfast is continental style - choice of meals for both lunch and in the evening - always well presented, even took on the challenge of catering for me as a vegetarian! OK, but the main street runs behind the hotel. The rooms are clean and nice, but not very stylish. The view on the lake is magnificant.

We have stayed in Garda 3 times now at other hotels and we have just returned from a lovely holiday at the Hotel Terminus in Garda. We were quite worried and apprehensive about going after reading the other reviews on this site....however we experienced no problems at all. We have just returned from a week at the Terminus Hotel in Garda and after being concerned by Tripadvisers negative rating, thought the hotel was excellent with no concerns about security at all. The decor and style is charmingly old fashioned (1940's), our rooms were large with a good sized balcony, the staff helpful and cheerful and the food was exceptional. The people who works (and owns?) this hotel are horrible. I was on holiday with my parents, and when we arrived at this hotel the first thing they did was screaming at us for parking on the hotelparking. And it went on and on for two days. Then we had enough, and found another hotel!!!

My husband and I stayed at Terminus in 2003 and I still remember it sadly now. My engagement ring and a necklace of great sentimental value were taken from our room, I can only imagine by the maid. We told the manager, who was very defensive and said I must have lost them!! We were told under no circumstances to tell the our rep about it (we were with Crystal Holidays), but I really wish I had reported it to the company now as it made it impossible for me to make an official complaint or claim for the jewellery on my insurance. My mother and I have just returned from an extremely stressful week at the Terminus hotel in Garda, booked with Inghams. A bottle of perfume disappeared from our locked room and as instructed at the welcome meeting we informed our Inghams rep of the incident. She spoke to the hotel manager who later that day harassed us in public saying we were "not nice people" for having told the rep about the missing perfume. They were certainly extremely keen to brush the incident under the carpet and did not want Inghams to be involved. The... more
