Hotel Garden

Have just arrived back from a week at this great hotel. We were there over Easter and while other hotels put their prices up over this period this hotel had a special spring offer with a reduced rate and the option of half-board for only another 5 euros!! We just couldn't go wrong and indeed we didn't. We e-mailed the hotel directly and they booked transfers from Bergamo Airport for us. I believe they do free transfers from both Verona and Brescia but because of the distance from Bergamo they have negotiated a good price with a company... more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 days when we went to lake garda. We loved the location as it is just directly opposite the peschiera del garda train station. However, the rooms are facing away from the station so we don't get the noise from passing trains. Just outside the hotel, there is a busstop where you can catch the free buses to Gardaland amusement park and the water park and movie world. The ride is only about 15 to 20 mins. You can also take a 10 mins walk to the pier where you can take a ferry to the rest of the towns... more

Stayed here for 5 days with our baby daughter. Lovely hotel. Nice quiet location, but only a few minutes walk to the town & edge of the lake. Did not eat in the restaurant, but breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and made our daughter welcome.

Just returned from a week at Hotel Garden in Garda. Garda is a great choice for first-timers to the Lake. You can travel easily to the north and the south; walk to Bardolino, and further if you wish, along the lakeside. Hotel Garden is a small family run hotel. We spent our honeymoon in July 2006 in Hotel Garden. It is a good hotel with a fantastic pool and spacious outdoor seating area with excellent facilities. The location is very good, only two minutes fron Garda. The hotel decor is a bit out of date and the bathrooms are very basic for a 4 star hotel. The breakfast is brilliant and there are plenty of options on the dinner menu however as a vegetarian I did struggle to get a totally satisfactory meal. This is a really great Italian family run hotel. I have visited on two occassions now and throughly enjoyed my self both times. The service in the hotel is excellent and the restaurant provides classic italian dishes every night. The cakes are divine!!!. I had a room overlooking the pool and lake, which was spacious and airy. If relaxing by the pool is too quite for you, there are lots of things to do (lake trips, sighseeign in Verona, walking in the mountains). We had a great time at this family run hotel, where all the staff take great pride in looking after their guests to the highest standard. The room we had was great; overlooking the pool and the lake (worth paying that bit more for a room at the front). Breakfast wonderful; lots of choice, all well presented. The Garden is a small (36 bedroom) family-run hotel in a superb location 150 metres from the lake. Our room enjoyed views over the excellent pool area to the lake. The service here is of the highest standard, personally overseen by the family who have owned the hotel since it was converted from a country house after the second world war. This family run hotel was very nice, the pool was a good size and very clean. The terraced area around the pool was shaded with trellis and grape vine and extremely pretty. We stayed half board and the restaurant offered a choice of three main dishes each night and the food was fantastic. The breakfast was buffet and also very good. My main complaint was the size of the room – it was possibly the smallest room I have ever stayed in. Hotel Garda is pleasently situated a short distance away from the lake, small friendly family hotel. The food was excellent, we were on half board, which suited us after a long day sightseeing. Lots to do. Garda is not the prettiest town on the lake, that honour belongs to Riva and Limone, but these are further up the lake with high sided hills, greatt to visit, but limited sunshine in the morning and evening.
